Roth Potter
For years I had my Dukes of Hazzard DVDs stored in one of those boxes in which you can put 30 or more disks in. When I wanted to watch one of the DVDs yesterday, I noticed that that disk was sticking. So I gently pulled it out and there was something on the side where the data is stored. On this Disk are the episodes: 4. Robot P. coltrane, 5. No more Mr. Nice Guy and 6. The Dukes in Hollywood.I tried playing the disk and from episode 4 and 6 I can not view anything and from episode 5 I can view about 75%.I have tried to play it in my laptop, Xbox 360 and even my old Playstation 2I have tried cleaning it with a cloth and water as this was the best method i could find on the internet. It made the spots smaller but not fully gone.I didn't try anything other as it might clog up the holes between the data. anyone got a good tip on cleaning disks? RogerDuke
I wish I could help but I can't. I know how frustrating it can be to have defective episodes. I have a few episodes with problems that must have come from the factory with defects. For example, I can only see half of "Jude Emery". RogerDuke
I've heard about using toothpaste. Let us know if it works. Good luck!
Roth Potter
I've heard about using toothpaste. Let us know if it works. Good luck!I've tried to remove the big spot yesterday of which I posted a picture, the spot was gone but I still could not watch the dvd. Thereafter I got myself a closer look at the DVD and saw two other different spots, today i've cleaned one of them and made the other one severly smaller but that one was not fully gone. Even though one small spot is still left the DVD works again like a charm! :D
