July 1, 201214 yr Thank you JPB. Unfortunately I have an illness which has me in and out of the hospital constantly. Missing last month's meeting due to the illness is nothing new.There is another chat scheduled for tonight.
July 2, 201214 yr Anyone know why I can't get into the chat? I've logged on from two separate computers but can't get in from either. Doesn't accept my log in name or password and there is no button to register under a different name since it tells me that my name is too long.
July 2, 201214 yr It logged in automatically for me tonight, albeit after a short delay. When it has made me log in it works with my usual HNet username/password.
July 2, 201214 yr I get the message that my name is too long. If that is the case I'm not sure why it let me use if for the site. Tried to get a second account with an email that I've never used here and was told that my email address was BANNED! That shocked me.

July 2, 201214 yr WHEW! Well that explains it. Didn't know that it was because of Hotmail. Don't have another email and don't really care to get another one to keep track of so I guess I'll have to wait until I get an answer about my regular log in name then.
July 2, 201214 yr I had to get another one when I started because I used Hotmail. Now I use the new one for HNet stuff, although you can just set up another one for registration and get it to forward any mail to your Hotmail or other email account.
July 2, 201214 yr I used to have a Gmail account but it kept getting hacked so I don't trust that group. Kept being pulled up in France and Mexico. Didn't matter what kind of protection I used. May try to reinstate a yahoo one that I closed out.
July 3, 201214 yr I didn't know that Hotmail was banned on the site. Very interesting... and yet they have the option to list a windows live messenger.Some things make no sense to me what so ever.
July 3, 201214 yr Hoss, thank you very much for replying to JPB's hotmail concerns. Our apologies for the worry, JPB! Unfortunately Hotmail has been a bad dog to HNet for years. It seems to be the email service of choice for spammers. It was impossible to verify who was going to be naughty or nice every time someone registered with a Hotmail account, so we had to block that door for the sake of HNet's protection.It's also highly rare we ban anybody. And before we do, we go into a public fit of righteous indignation, denouce the offender, list their offenses and speak their doom. Mufn has a rather sharpe axe, and once somebody has been ex-communicated from HazzardNet, they're unable to return under any guise. Brrr. I get chills just thinking about it. Anyway, it's extremely rare to run afoul of the admins here, because we're too busy running afoul of each other.
