waikiki23
It was just this episode. Answers.com explains that John Schneider was filming a TV movie at the time. He was in all the other episodes, except for the Coy and Vance episodes in Season 5. Hope this helps and a side note, I'm watching this episode at this very moment. RogerDuke
You're right Jeff. Waylon did say Bo was with the Marine Reserves on that episode. Since Bo's hair wasn't Marine Corps regulation, I'm guessing he was just visiting and didn't sign the papers to join. I was in the Marine Reserves from 1978-1984 and our hair had to be as short as regular duty Marines. I do love that episode. I think it's the only one where we ever see Rosco's house. Also, we find out that Boss's birthday is 4-6-26. (I hit pause when the Finchburg Sheriff was holding Boss's twin brother's drivers license)

DaisyMaeDuke
If memory serves me correctly, John was filming the made-for tv movie "Dream House" during this episode.
