September 3, 201016 yr Howdy there. Now I'm not actually Southern, but I have always wanted to have a Southern accent. In fact, anytime I watch a Dukes of Hazzard episode, I find myself talking with a bit of a Southern twang for a while. I love it! I have been a Dukes of Hazzard fan since the first time I saw a rerun on TV (I'm not old enough to have seen the original airings, unfortunately). Someday I hope to attend Dukesfest.

September 4, 201016 yr Welcome to Hazzard County M.M. I'm from Lake Erie so I don't have a southern accent but I know what you mean about thinking it would be cool to have one. There's just something about that sound that makes you feel at home even if you are a northerner. I can't explain why but southern accents are just so soothing. There hasn't been a Dukesfest for awhile but I hope your dream comes true someday. You're not anywhere near Youngstown Ohio are you? A bunch of Dukes folks are getting together around there later this month.
