Dukes of Hazzard Callbacks

Featured Replies

Dukes of Hazzard fan alert!ย  I just realized a clever callback in the show. In Season 1 Episode 4, "Repo Men," Luke says "You get the feeling we've been here before?" when Rosco confiscates the Rolls Royce. But what most fans might not know is that this line is a nod to Season 7 Episode 1, "Happy Birthday General Lee," where Rosco takes their truck, leaving them stranded!ย  The writers cleverly wove this continuity Easter egg into the series, and I'm loving the connection! Who else has caught similar callbacks in The Dukes of Hazzard? Share your favorite moments! #DukesOfHazzard #TheDukes #GeneralLee #Rosco #BoDuke #LukeDuke

Season 7 Danger on the Hazzard Express has a callback. When Burke & Perry steal the General Lee.

Burke:"Hey! This door's stuck!" ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

Perry:"This one too!" ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

They get in the windows. They drive to the hide out. They have to drive the General Lee into their truck's trailer.

Burke(To Carney):"Ok Carney! Take 'er in!" (Looks at Perry and they're both laughing.)

Carney (Grabs door handle and push button, presses it to open the door to get in. It won't open.):"Hey! This door's stuck!" ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

Burke & Perry (Still laughing.):"We know!" ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

Burke:"Thru the window!" ๐Ÿ˜‚ย

This is the callback to Burke & Perry's earlier experience with the welded shut doors. They knew Carney would struggle just like they did themselves. ๐Ÿ˜‚ย
