Julieduke
Rita is coming by the Gulf Coast and to Galveston, Texas and Houston. I wonder what other names they have for Hurricanes. A friend was telling me about Hurricane Phillpe but apparent he didn't do any major damage.
just_me
There have been given many names voor hurricanes. I read this article a couple of days a go that the meteorological experts have only 5 names left they can use. Stan was one of them the rest I don't remember. Wouldn't it be a great thing though if, when the names run out, the hurricane's would stop coming?Guess we won't have that much luck. JM
Julieduke
that is funny name for a Hurricane right there. Hurricane Stan, what is he going to do mess up the paper work at the office. No more Hurricanes there is a great idea.
jllybn
The remaining names are Stan, Tammy, Vince, and Wilma. Hurricane season doesn't actually end until November, and conditions are obviously favorable for hurricanes this year, so it looks like there's going to be more to come. Hopefully with Katrina and Rita being so strong over the Gulf, they'll stir up enough cold water from deep in the water that the hurricanes won't be quite as strong from here on out. Unfortunately, I doubt that will be the case.
