We don't believe there were any changes other than the infamous Coy/Vance season. There were "guest" Dukes on the show like Jeb Stuart Duke and Jud Kaine, Luke's younger brother, both of which only appeared in one episode each and were never spoken of again.

Is it possible you are thinking of a few episodes where there were replacements for Rosco or Cooter? Also, Cletus "replaced" Enos as the deputy in season 3, though Cletus is not generally considered a replacement but rather another member of the cast.

no, because the ones i am thinking of definately drove the General at one time or another. I may be dreaming (or thinkinf of vance and coy), but for some reason i distinctly remember other guys with similar hair color that i dont remember being Coy and Vance.....but im not sure, thats why i asked.

What about in the episode "Double Dukes"? Boss had two guys dress and act like them and they took or had thier own General Lee. This could be another possibility.

this is possible, ill have to wait for it on CMT and check it out. When i was young, my dad would record them so i coul d watch them when i wanted. So, when they started running out of tapes, i think he wrote over some. Sooner or later, i had about 4 episodes on VHS i could watch over and over, so this may have led to my confusion.

Well Boss and Rosco drove the General a couple of times too....tho' neither one of them quite resemble Bo 'n Luke in any way. ROFL. Although when James Best was younger he had a mop of dark hair. LOL

No, there were only two sets of Dukes that I know of. Bo & Luke and Coy & Vance.

yes one replacement for Sheriff Rosco for short time when he back there his nephew hughie hogg and other name I forget one.. for acting sheriff for short time but also yes Boss and Rosco rode Lee few times for impound for while but one thing he did accident in pond what I remember..
