The earliest we could expect to hear news about a sequel?
back replied to DesertSpirit's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
Just because a flick makes big bucks in the box office doesnt mean that its time for a sequel! in all honesty a sequel would ruin the dukes movie. a sequel just wouldnt work (as much as id like to see one) with the general public. "yea, ive seen the jumps, sliding across the hood, rosco, what more is there to tell?" is what im afraid of hearing. but this is just one mans opinion. im gone. -Brad -
no problem Darrell. leave it up to me to post the most videos and pics. LOL im gone. -Brad

Every movie gets edited, eventually. but in the trailer i began to notice tons of scenes from the dukes movie that never appeared in the actual film, that shouldve! i nabbed some screen shots here. let me know what you guys think. this one looks like the jump scene during the rally nearing the end of the flick: a great shot from the first jump in the film, not shown in theaters. Why!? It almost seems too good to be true, some say its computer generated, i say No. it was Real. Last Jump of the movie i presume? Okay Bo, why was this scene deleted buddy? A Great duo shot, one of many: Okay, in the background you can barely see the General lee, now this police cruiser accident was one of the best ive ever seen. Deleted scene Why again??? now the freeway jump landing frame by frame, i think this is the best close up of something like that, Ever! and was it computer animated? no freaking way! notice the proper dents, etc... Oh! and lookie here! its one of them thar' un-manned cars! neat! thoughts all? im gone. -Brad

thought id stroll into this one for a quick sec... Once again like i said before, the critics were wrong. the kids loved it and the people around for the original series couldnt get enough of the general lee. this movie is far from the profit of titanic or star wars but its still in the lead of the pack and continues to pull in the bacon. what do i think? will it be a classic, in a way. will it be remembered? Yes, for all those damn fine stunts. reguardless it retained a profit, its in the top of its class, the dukes movie did just fine. im gone. -Brad

And how would you know what to look for scott? *raises one eyebrow* hmmmm.... LOL im gone. -Brad

I know it may be a little early to mention this topic (let alone start a thread about it) but lets get at er' on this one. what do WE the duke fans and the rest of the consumers deserve to get with this DVD? I say ALL of the stunts and then some. damn, a Seperate disc all about the General! then of course I gotta remember that there was a cast too! LOL ...i wanna hear interveiws from the stuntmen, full cast, TV series cast hopefully! what else do you guys want? im gone. -Brad

Twice for me. im gone. -Brad

EDIT: which out of all of the jumps was the best? as in height, speed, distance, etc. And Why? reply, let me know. I'll do somethin special with the Best jump. http://members.shaw.ca/ecto135/jumpwmv.wmv Original Message: I whipped together another video for y'all http://members.shaw.ca/ecto135/jumpwmv.wmv I dont think these guys wouldve ever done anything like this if it wasnt for the dukes im gone. -Brad

okay, I'll come clean - i saw it, again - yesterday. and if you thought you saw it all the first time, see it again! you notice so much more as if it was a different movie all together. mostly in the chase scenes though. so if you guys & gals out there have the time, have the money and have the Heart, go see it again. im gone. -Brad PS. anyone here already seen it twice?

Okay, before my dukes story lookie here: okay, now that ive done that the Spoilers are in Bold lettering, so If you Havent seen the movie yet Please Dont read those words! Wow, for an afternoon showing boy was that theater packed! at the sign of the first jump about a bakers dozen cheered! (so i did too ) now as far as the characters go all of them did a hell of a job with how the dukes were portrayed. cooter was awsome. and as a Knoxville fan myself he played a good luke, he really set grounds for that character. as for scott he suprised me as well, he Wasnt a Complete moron. Now i can safely say that outside of the Fantastic car chases the cast really lifted this one off the ground. however im not sure if i liked how the movie started (as if it was the 3rd season on tv). im gonna have to watch it a few more times to come to a solid conclusion. heres where it gets good though; there really getting chased, the General is actually getting the odd scrape and ding on the body for a change. Sweet! law enforcement is for real, Translation: The Atlanta Police Dept! (i didnt really see them F***ing around!) i did see some things that Benny was warning us about. that being drugs, hand gestures & outspoken vulgar individuals. but heres the thing, thats what people would Really say in those situations! the dukes movie got Very Realistic with human nature. And i liked that. Alot. (aside from uncle Jessi. tsk tsk. . But like Ive said, Alots changed in the past 30 years. alot of things are more acceptable. I counted about 36 7ish year old kids there as well, and they like me loved it just as much then talked to the parents as we exited about Buying the DVD later on. Sweet! thats what i wanna hear! Another thing i loved is that the movie had a running time of almost 2 hours, and it Never dragged on! (Sweet! ...again. ) but back to the cast for a moment I loved that they placed Knoxville as the "ladies man" and/or "player" of the 2 cousins. it added such a comedic twist that i dont think that the movie couldve lived without. And Scott was yes - a little slower out of the 2, but he was a great wheelman. Somehow always had a problem with the ladies... yet again funny as hell. But hey, watch it - you'll laugh with me, then. now as far as the ending credits goes, STAY AND WATCH THEM!!! it is So worth it!!! On one of the leaps onto the hiway... the car Almost made it! Sweet! so all in all I loved the kids being there, the movie being pretty much sold out and how many dukes related t-shirts i saw. will it be a repeat of the critics pulling there feet outta there mouths again like back in the late 70's saying "the show will never fly"? Im almost sure due to the appeal of the younger audiences. will More toys be put into production for little ones to play with in the sandboxes? I say YES! to say the absolute Least its an experience that I'll NEVER forget! im gone. -Brad PS. God Bless the Super Troopers! -
