  1. I for one like the chrome rocker panels. I just think it makes the car look better.
  2. This 1999 Charger concept looks a helluva lot better than the piece of trash they finally decided on. I'm hoping that with what Ford has done to the T-Bird and the Mustang will soon happen with Chrysler...Redesign the charger to look like a 1969 throwback, complete with hidden headlights.
  3. I thought I was the only one who noticed that.
  4. Just as I suspected, a stupid Jackass meets Supertrooper ripoff. With some Road Trip and American Pie thrown in... Lame Stifler jokes...etc. Smokey and the Bandit my ass. The only thing that saves this POS is The General. Even then, I hate the fact that those two bozos were behind the wheel. As they say in Louisiana, we need a redeaux.
  5. The boys chased Cooter in "One Armed Bandits" not "Repo Men"
  6. I think it's a little more than half Divia, but I get where you're coming from. 8)
  7. I read that as well... He said first that if he had one built for him, he'd leave the flag off because he couldn't drive it around LA with it on top... Freakin' PC a-holes...
  8. Sorta right... The Dukes of Hazzard (TV) was a comedy/drama. Just not the kind of comedy Broken Lizard is known for.
  9. There's a dealer in Lake Villa, Illinois that builds General Lees.
  10. Dunno, looks fishy to me... But why don't you go ahead and order it and let us know if they're real ?
  11. Like I said the other day to Brian though... Please don't judge ALL Alabamians because of ONE poster. He doesn't speak for ME. Alabama has some darn fine people...including me
  12. Don't know the exact street, but here are some then and now pictures from the first 5 episodes. Click the link... http://www.jonhollandakaboduke.com/introduction.html Edited by Mufn: This domain no longer has Dukes content. Jon must have let the registration lapse.
  13. Beats tearing it down by hand Good stuff...
  14. Funniest thing I've read on here... Also, probably the most acurate description of the movie.
  15. Here's a link to a May 1st, 1982 article on The Dukes of Hazzard. This quote is interesting... No worries on the 1969 Charger becoming extinct. "Is there any danger, ultimately, of the Dodge 1969 Charger becoming extinct, or a valued rarity in the next few years? Would it be placed on the endangered-species list? Hardly. The kids in the car on the freeway have nothing to worry about: Chrysler Corporation sold about 85,000 1969 Dodge Chargers in the U.S. Even if half of those have already been scrapped, the ones still on the road would stock The Dukes of Hazzard for another 600 years." http://xroads.virginia.edu/~CAP/LEE/hazard.html Just thought some of you may enjoy the read.
  16. I remember it being a two hour movie as well. My question is, why do they have pictures of TCOT on the season 2 DVD set when it's not even on the set?
  17. Brian, He doesn't speak for ALL Alabamians....
  18. I've never seen this before today.... All I can say is WOW.... Jessica Simpson ain't no Daisy... 8)
  19. Awesome... That's definitely the sound... It has that old Dukes feel to it. Thanks for the link.
  20. If this new "review" of the movie is true, which I doubt, there's alot of inconsistencies. First, the person says that the car starts off orange with different fonted numbers on the doors, but the flag isn't on it until after the first jump when it's wrecked? It's not even called The General Lee unitl some hillbillys help fix the car and that's when the flag is painted on along with "General Lee." Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Cooter supposed to be the one fixing the car and painting all the logos on? This of course after they bring him a BLACK charger. Next, they couldn't "repair" the doors so they'd open, insted they just have to be inconvenienced and slide in through the windows ?!? HELLO, that was the whole point of The General Lee BEING a race car. The doors of a race car are WHAT? Welded shut. Remember in “Daisy’s Song†when Waylon says “General Lee was their race car, they built him from the wheels up.†Stoner Dukes ?!? What's next...Daisy a hooker ? Boss Hogg gay ? All these sexual innuendos and lame jokes. These bozos at WB totally forgot what made TDOH such a successful TV show. Hopefully this isn't the movie, because if it is, then I just changed my mind on seeing it. It smells like a turd on the way.
  21. I met Ben Jones (Cooter) at The World of Wheels as it came through Birmingham last year. Of course he was there with The General Lee. He was very cordial, and very down to earth. He signed a DOH calendar we bought at the show. It was a very positive experience. I'm hoping to get up to Gatlinburg this year to Cooter's Place. Perhaps I'll run into him again.
  22. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/goodolboys.html I'll just let the video speak for itself.
  23. Well, perhaps I should have worded it differently. Yes, it is a tribute rather than a replica... BTW Maxim....do you have any pics of your "possible stunt" charger ?
