  3. When Season 5 gets its eventual DVD release, who should be on the cover? I'm curious to find out if both Bo and Luke as well as Coy and Vance are on the cover (remember, Bo and Luke return later in Season 5)... I, along with others I know, are hoping other cast members make it to the cover. I would prefer a full cast shot for the cover of any upcoming season...and we have a good start in that Boss Hogg appears on the cover of Season 4 to be released in August. So what are your thoughts for a cover for Season 5?

  5. Ah, any episode with Enos in the lead role is great! If you haven't seen the Season 6 episode, "Enos's Last Chance", you are in for a treat...it's one of the best episodes they ever did.

  7. Yeah, I've always liked the Coy and Vance episodes...for a couple reasons. It changed things up a little and forced the original cast members to tweek their characters a little to adapt to the change...which made for some great fun, especially from Boss and Rosco. I also liked having both Enos and Cletus in the show at the same time and wish that had continued longer than it did. It's ashame Cletus didn't guest star after season 5...after all, he was around from the first season...a veteran of the show... Coy (Byron Cherry) was great....I really wish he would have stayed on in some capacity...perhaps working with Cooter? The character of Vance, well, left a lot to be desired. Too wooden! But thumbs up for Coy! I can't wait til Season 5 comes out...I'll be buying it that day, just like all the other DUKES DVD sets...which get better and better with each release.

  9. I think some of the best episodes of the series aired in Seasons 6 and 7! Lulu's Gone Away Too Many Roscoes Enos's Last Chance Brotherly Love Boar's Nest Bears Boss Behind Bars Twin Trouble Dead and Alive Play It Again, Luke Undercover Dukes ........and well, just every episode from Season 6! I believe this was one of their BEST seasons. As for season 7, what about: Happy Birthday, General Lee Welcome, Waylon Jennings Cool Hands, Bo and Luke Go West, Young Dukes Sky Bandits Over Hazzard Enos and Daisy's Wedding I'll buy (eagerly) Seasons 5-7. I'm a big fan of Season 5, as well.
  10. I'll be purchasing Season 5 happily. I doubt Seasons 5 and 6 will be combined, as the price would be too hefty. But if they do combine the seasons, that would be great, too---that means we will get Season 6 even faster! My question is: what will the cover art look like for Season 5? Coy and Vance on the cover? By the way...I hope Coy and Vance are involved in bonus features for Season 5.
  11. I love the Coy and Vance episodes. I am eagerly looking forward to the release of Season 5 to see these episodes unedited...something I haven't seen since they originally aired! Sure, Coy and Vance could not and will never replace Bo and Luke, and yes, some scenes involving Coy and Vance were awkward, but the storylines were good and Boss and Rosco were absolutely hillarious while Bo and Luke were gone....even more than usual. Booke and Best definitely stepped it up a notch to make up for the situation. Plus, the Coy and Vance era allowed us to see Enos and Cletus together as deputies at the same time, and also allowed for other characters to get a little more air time than usual. I was glad to see John and Tom return, but still have great memories of the Coy and Vance era. We should thank Byron Cherry and Christopher Mayer for keeping the show going, and for doing the best they could. My vote is that Byron (Coy) was the better of the two replacements...much more down-home and believeable than Vance. I wish Coy had made guest appearances after Bo and Luke returned. Bring on Season 5 to DVD!
  12. No, Dukes on DVD are not widescreen...but they still look (and sound) great!
  13. I'm hoping...and I figure that is what will happen. But it also seems that they are taking their time...showing the same show many times each week...or is it just me? It seems I have seen "Ghost of General Lee" twice in the last week or so!
  14. Hey...welcome. No need to tape some episodes...go and get Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD! Season 3 coming in May...
  15. Yes! Our faithful Deputies Enos and Cletus do deserve a mention for their work on Season 5...they are always good, but it was particuarly cool to see them together on several episodes during the 5th Season. I wish Cletus would have hung around after that, too, or at least made guest appearances like he did in the first two seasons!
  16. Yeah, the later seasons are a must. There was such a late burst of creativity in Season 7 that gave us some of their best shows: Happy Birthday, General Lee Go West, Young Dukes Enos and Daisy's Wedding Cool Hands, Bo and Luke Danger on the Hazzard Express Welcome, Waylon Jennings No More Mr. Nice Guy And I am really looking forward to Season 5...the Coy and Vance episodes...which we haven't seen unedited in YEARS. Plus, hey, these episodes are not THAT bad, guys! Sure, nobody can ever replace John and Tom, but Jimmy Best and Sorrell Booke are hillarious in Season 5. Plus, there are many great episodes in Season 6....so bring them on!
  17. A good question, and one I've had for years! I do know that it wasn't just voiced over for the DVD, it is part of the original episode as it aired back then. Who can help?
  18. DUKES Season 2 on DVD in early 2005! Check out the link: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2183

  20. I haven't seen anyone speak of the new calendar yet. It's for 2005 and I found it at http://www.calendars.com/Product.asp?TID={7ECDE07F-B943-43AE-9A23-C4AD375B215F}&PID=1&MGID=-1&IID=15232 I just got mine today...the cover is really nice, but the pictures inside are too similar to last year's calendar, and why aren't there ever any pictures of Enos or Cletus? There is one of Enos in this year's and last...he always gets shafted!
  21. This is a heads up for any of you who haven't seen this great site...TVShowsOnDVD.com. It provides all the latest and most accurate information for DVD releases of great television shows, including the DUKES. It's free and easy to register, so follow the links below, register, and vote for the DUKES OF HAZZARD (to show our continued support for future seasons), as well as for ENOS and the DUKES CARTOON. Maybe if they see there is an interest in the latter two, they will make their way as bonus materials onto future Season releases of the DUKES OF HAZZARD. Actual DVD companies like Warner and what not look at this site, and have had online Q & A sessions with them, and the site is fed news by DVD companies...so it's something worth doing. Let Warner know we want more DUKES DVD releases! You also have the opportunity to make comments---I always comment on the need for more bonus features! Here ya go: TVShowsOnDVD.com: The Dukes of Hazzard http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=1288 TVShowsOnDVD.com: Enos http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=1353 TVShowsOnDVD.com: The Dukes Cartoon Series http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=1289

  23. Everyone--head over to this link: http://www.angelfire.com/biz/wholesaledukes/page5.html and vote in the poll on whether you want to see the ENOS show released on DVD. I'm almost positive that Sonny's people are trying to get Warner to release the series as an 'extra' feature on one of the upcoming DUKES on DVD sets. Go over and vote yes!
