Daisy: What about Bo and Luke?

Daisy: What about Roscoe? What's he up to?

Daisy: You seen Enos? How's he doing with being Sheriff?

Cooter: *smiles* Well look who's feeling better.

The two of them go out into the hall and walked for a little while when suddenly they are met by Cooter.

Daisy: Lily, do you feel like taking a walk? We can just go around and then come back. (My mom used to do this with me)

Daisy: *watches Lily drink the juice* Well. . .I guess it's about your daddy's lunch time. I hope he's having a good day.

Daisy: Good. Now how about another sip of juice?

Daisy: Good. Now does that help you with why your daddy and I love you so much?

Daisy: Just understand that the blood has to do with his love for us. This world is full of hate Lily. That's one area where there's never hate or hurt or pain. . .just love. It took me a while to learn that when my parents died. (Well don't know bout you, but don't think Lily had to wait till sunday)

Lily: I don't know either. I just don't get it. Daisy: *suddenly remembers* Wait. . .washed in the. . .Lily he's not mean. . .he's talking about his blood. You'll understand it when you go to church. Your Grandaddy can explain it better than I can.

( I'll tell you more about them later. You have a favoite?) Lily: I think it starts something like Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pot are you washed in the blood of the lamb that's all I remember, but that's one thing I don't get. . .He sounds so mean.

Lily: if it's like what my mama used to teach me I'm glad. She used to sing this song to me. . .somethin about washed in some blood? (btw this is one of my favorites)

Lily: I ain't never been. My mama used to tell me things, but I never been.

Lily: I guess so. I just don't understand it. Maybe I'll learn from you and daddy.

Lily: What is it mama? I know you and daddy love me. . .I just don't believe He does.

Lily: How do you know that? What is it with God anyway? If he loved me then he wouldn't have put me through the last years would he? (Boy. . .Daisy's havin a day)

Lily: Why do you love me so much? I didn't even know what love was untill a day or two ago. I still don't know that I do

Lily: I think you're an angel too. You and daddy. My real parents wouldn't have brought me here.

Lily: That's why I believe in angels.

Lily: I know that, but I still have nightmares about daddy. I've been at the orphanage since I was two. I was really little and had a lotta bruises.

Lily: *nods and starts crying* I know. I loved mama. Daddy. . .he was mean. He hurt me and screamd at me a lot.

Lily: I like drawing Angels mama. I think my real mama was an angel, but daddy killed her.

Lily: I don't want you to cry mama. What you want me to draw?

Lily: I'm glad you like it mama. I'll stop drawing like this if you want.
