  1. Yeah, like the rearview mirror on the passenger side. How'd they botch that up?

  3. That's odd. I remember back when Spider-Man came out the die-hard comic fans were mad that they changed his web-shooting abilities from a mechanical device to an internal thing in his wrists. I never cared because I was a casual fan. And most people going to see The Dukes of Hazzard won't care either. They won't care or even know that Flash is supposed to be Rosco's dog. They won't care or even know that the General Lee's doors are supposed to be welded shut, not broken. But now I can see how the Spider-Man fans could get upset. Sure, they're minor details, but WHY change them? It makes no sense. What do they gain by saying the General's doors are busted? If anything, that's a crazy idea in itself, because why would both doors break? And why give Flash to Boss Hogg? It boggles the mind.

  5. Thanks much, Dale. I'll surely tune in to the MTV special, only wish we still got CMT here. Though after seeing Jessica Simpson's music video I wonder if I'll even be able to stomach watching a special about this "movie."

  7. They look ridiculous. It's no wonder that they've "conveniently" omitted Rosco from the trailers, because people would wonder who the heck he is and why Rosco's all of a sudden a line-backer-looking tough guy. The minute they cast Jessica Simpson I knew this movie would be a waste.

  9. Val hit it right on the head. The opening of the trailer (with the "01" style countdown and strobelight car chase clips) was great. Got me real jazzed. But the rest was bad. After I saw it for the first time I was left with sort of an empty feeling. The only thing in the entire trailer that even resembled "The Dukes" was the car. Absolutely none of the cast looked like they fit their respective roles. The scenes with Bo and Luke interacting with the sorority girls and the lab worker seemed as if they were pulled directly from an American Pie sequel. These scenes, and Daisy's "undercarriage" joke at the very end, pretty much summed up the tone of the movie's humor. Teenage. Juvenile. Although it's a complete waste of time, here were a few names I had entertained as cast choices: Bo: Paul Walker (despite the apparent disdain for him here) Luke: Tom Welling Daisy: Piper Perabo, Rachel McAdams Uncle Jesse: Charlie Daniels The Balladeer/Theme Song Singer: Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels
