January 24, 200521 yr I know that Willie Nelson is playing Uncle Jesse's role for movie. He is kind of too skinny for this role. I happened watch movie and found a perfect guy for Uncle Jesse's role. His name is Mickey Jones and he fit for this character. He is stocky, with long hair and bear and wear overall. He like to look for revenge with laugh. That's my opinion.By the way, He appeared in Dukes of Hazzard tv show three times.I agree that Danny should play Boss Hogg.
January 24, 200521 yr I noticed in some of the pictures I've seen on the internet that Willie is wearing extra padding to make him look bigger like Uncle Jesse.Mickey Jones, good ole B.B. Davenport. He played this role in 'Granny Annie'. I could see him as Uncle Jesse.
January 27, 200521 yr Author dc460You can click that link http://www.hazzardnet.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=318 and view.I guess he is alright but Uncle Jesse don't wear long hair and straw cowboy hat. What happened to red hunting cap and faded overall?Thank
January 28, 200521 yr I think Robert Duval would have made a good uncle Jesse, but Willie's pretty good too.
January 29, 200521 yr Author Robert Duvall is a good choice. I trust that Willie Nelson will try his best for Uncle Jesse's role. Willie is country man.Mickey Jones is good one too. He is good at laugh with southern attitude at law people, smart mouth at Boss Hogg and pick on Idiot Sheriff Roscoe.
January 30, 200521 yr Robert Duvall was a choice of mine for Uncle Jesse. He would have a great , more serious Jesse.. Looking at the pic of Willie as Jesse makes me think Willie wil be a good choice, long hair and all. He does look the part in the pic. Now let's see how well he acts as him remains to be seen....Maybe he will bring soemthing different to the role...
January 30, 200521 yr Willie really isn't that bad of a choice for Jesse Duke at all. However, I also feel that Robert Duvall, or possibly Donald Sutherland would have been good choices for the role as well.GADuke01
