TheGeneral01
1976 Pontiac LeMans Not a General, I know, but still fun to drive http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=507160177&aid=121440
TheGeneral01
Forgot to note...You can actually see tons of Lemans driving around in the Dukes of Hazzard... So I guess it's kind of a non-celebrity Dukes car
Brian Coltrane
Nice wheels!I can't recall for sure, but I think there was an ep where Rosco owned a LeMans. Bought it with the "nickles and dimes" he'd been saving. I'll have to defer this bit of Dukes of Hazzard trivia to the resident Pontiac experts. Or can somebody else confirm this? I wanna say the ep was "To Catch A Duke" but I'm not positive.

I wanna say the ep was "To Catch A Duke" but I'm not positive.I think you're right on both points. He definitely had a LeMans, but the year escapes me at the moment. And I do believe it was also "To Catch A Duke". Lemme consult the Mufn household trivia expert here, Beautiful Buford....Yup, he agrees, but like me, can't recall the year. Perhaps the Deputy can do some caps and we can research it.
TheGeneral01
If I'm not mistaken, I think it may be the same year as mine... A 76. However, not having the episode for viewing right in front of me at the moment, it could be a 75 or 77... Or should I say just a late 70s model, LOL. TheGeneral01
And I believe it was a 4 door too.
Meadowmufn
That's what I was thinking too.. a '76. Lemme go see if I can find it on dvd and post a cap here.
TheGeneral01
Please do I would have done that, but I'm currently watching a different episode Gotta love having all the seasons!
Meadowmufn
It is most definitely a '77. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble making screencaps, so I might leave that up to the Deputy.

Meadowmufn
Good to know!!!And thank you for your info and effort btw No problem. If there's anything we like as much as Dukes here, it's cars! Plus, I happen to know that all of the moderators here have soft spots for Pontiacs (cuz we all own one). Meadowmufn
It is most definitely a '77. Which just happens to be what Buford T. Justice drives in Smokey and the Bandit...

Meadowmufn
Thanks, Hoss! As you can see, the grill is the major difference between the '76 and '77.
TheGeneral01
Ah yeah, so it did end up being a '77. Thanks for the screenshots too!!!
Hazzard2
Not had this car long. Tell what you think.
HossC
Looks great, although it's odd seeing a Dukes vehicle in the snow, just like this photo from general_lee_of_greece.What history does the car have?.
