Soon Lizzy had met with a lawyer and talked it over with him only to find out that because she had four young ones under six she only had a slim to non chance of gaining custody of John. The lawyer did say however if a family member with one or two kids did come forward to claim custody they would be more likely to get it. So Lizzy talked to Cooter who was more than happy to apply for custody. A lawyer and a social worker checked everything out and stated that he had the best chance at gaining custody though they didn't know how to break the news to Trevor.
