MinDuke
On Friday... UTEP (The University of Texas at El Paso) had their homecoming parade. My husband works for the university so naturally he had a front row seat to the festivities. Among the old time cars and mustangs that were featured was one he had to mention...At the front of the parade was a familiar site.. a orange stock car with big 01 on the side... yup! The General Lee in all its glory, complete with Dixie horn and big Confederate flag) was the leader! The driver behind it periodically blasted the Dixie horn, much to the amusement of the gathered crowd... I just thought that was pretty cool and I had to share it! Stormy Stormrider
Not fair Why don't we have anything like that over here, boring stuck up gits aren't we. If I had my way, old car shows and parades would be law !
Eddiemunster
The last time I saw a replica General was a couple of years ago at a car show. It wasn't a very great one, but at least we have someone up here in New York who has one to show off. This one is a 1970 Charger with a 318. I can't remember if it did have a Dixie horn or not.
