Captain D Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Hello again everyone,My 69' Charger is coming along nicely in becoming a "General." As I think what to invest in next for it, I have begun looking at the wheels/rims.I'm seeing a lot of variation in wheel width. I know to shoot for the 15' inch diameter, but what was the correct wheel width used for the Generals during the T.V. show?In other words: 15 X 8' in the rear, and, 15 X 6' in the front?Any info, pics, ect. would be greatly appreciated! Kindest Regards,Aaronp.s.....Other than Ebay, would anyone have any further websites that I could check for the General Lee wheels by chance? Quote
goodolboy85 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 I'm not sure about the wheel size, but I do know the wheels on the General are called American Racing Vectors, and they not too long ago, re-released them. Quote
TimDuke Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 They used both American Racing Vector and Carroll Shelby rims on the TV series. They used both 14 x 7 and 15 x 7. 15's used mostly on the second unit stunt cars.Yes they have reproduces the Vectors recently. www.americanracing.com I have 15 x 7 front and back on mine. I think 15's look better myself Quote
Captain D Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 Thank you for the replies! I just bought the rims/wheels....I bought the "American Racing Vector wheels" (ten spoke). They're the 50th Anniversary edition and in brand-new/perfect mint condition. You can see the "01" stamped inside each wheel. I have a pair of 15 x 7 on the front and a pair of 15 x 8.5 on the back. Here is the link I purchased from:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-American-Racing-Vector-General-Lee-Wheel-15X7-5X4-5_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43955QQihZ010QQitemZ200072581525QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1VHigh regards,Aaron Quote
