Legend of the Bloodening

Recommended Posts

Count Dracula...infamous as the creature of the night. A man who fed on the villagers. Who drank their blood and ate their flesh. Immortal, spare the touch of sunlight or the wrath of a stake.

Van helsing...the hero who killed Dracula, said to live for ridding the land of evil.

What they don't tell you is that Dracula was the hero of the story...

Angelica Walker and her brother Chris, were sitting on the bus. She stared out the window. "So the virus has spread to humans?" She was brunette, with her hair bound behind her in a waist length braid. Her eyes were a beautiful blue. 27 years old, her brother was 32.

"Yeah, it's moving faster than anyone could have predicted."

"We're going back to the middle ages. Where anyone could become a werewolf...I hope this bus reaches Hazzard before daylight, or you'll be in a world of trouble."

He smiled, his hair was jet black and stuck up just barely in front, while her's was dark brown. His grin exposed his fangs, "Don't worry Angie. We'll have pleanty of time to find a hotel room. Remember, be ready for trouble, lots of demons and werewolves know our faces like the backs of their hands."

"Silver tipped bullets are ready," she pulled out her gun. A semi-auto 9mm Berretta. "But the trigger's been catching on me."

Again Chris smiled, she was the only one in the world who could make him smile...not since Megan...

"Here sis, let me have a look-see."

Bo and Luke were tuning up on the General. Bo was changing the oil, and Luke was busy with the spark plugs. It was midday, neither of them had shirts on, it was just too hot.

Daisy stepped off the porch with Uncle Jesse, "Hey boys, we're heading up to fix the fence. You know how the farmers are loosing livestock to the Coyotes."

"I don't know whats got into them, they ain't never been this bold before," Luke said, resting on the side of the General.

His cousin shrugged, "Rabies?"

"Well it's a possibility, but if they were rabbid they wouldn't have eaten the meat, and they wouldn't have been working in a pack."

"That's right," Uncle Jesse said, "They'd be too busy trying to rip and tear at each other than working to take down a cow." Uncle Jesse and Daisy drove off for the far Western fence.

Luke nodded to Bo as he slid his shirt on, "Cummon, we gotta pick up some groceries for Uncle Jesse."

"Right," Bo said, "I'll head to the butchers in the Dixie."

"Uh Bo, your shirt."

The blond man looked down, his shirt wasn't buttoned up, "Cummon Luke, it's too hot!"

"Fine, but if Rosco nails you on indecient exposure don't come crying to me."

Bo smiled and hopped in Dixie.

Angelica looked at her brother, sprawled out on the bed, the blinds were closed, and their room was dark, the only light was the glow that came through the blinds. It wasn't enough to hurt Chris.

She pulled her leather jacket on, it was really Chris's, which was obvious because it came down past the black miniskirt. It was hot as hell out there, but she needed a place to keep the Berretta. She couldn't risk being without it.

Off to the butchers...He'll be hungry when he wakes up.

Vampires couldn't live off animal blood forever, he would have to feed eventually, but they would keep him strong for about a week. The real risk was waiting too long to feed then he might take to much, or attack someone he didn't mean to. If he went more than a week and a half without human blood the sight of blood could set him off and he could kill someone he didn't mean to.

CUE anyone who cares
