Virgin Enos
I found some info on some of the remains of chargers used in the show:Watching these episodes, several Dodge Chargers were driven/jump into Canals -- never to be seen again. The waterways on the Warner backlot are considerably deep (up to 35 feet). Research has uncovered that these cars likely remain in the bottom of those canals today (about 8 Generals Lee total: throughout the original run of the show). http://www.moviemopars.www6.50megs.com/doh/general.htmlI wonder how many squad cars are in the canals... TimDuke
I believe that is a bogus rumor we discussed that subject on the confederate General site. I doubt if we will know the truth on it anyways. That would be considered polluting a very serious crime in CA.
Brian Coltrane
On the other hand, what if it's true? I wonder what the salvage discovery laws are in CA.I'm gettin' a snorkel kit and goin' in. Brian
Virgin Enos
If the rumors where true , wouldn't Travis Bell and his crew or some other general lee nut have gone to fish them out? They have been sunk for 20 to 25 so wh knows what kind of condition they would be in. I guess the only person who would know is somone that worked on the show or mabe the Transportation capton at WB
