  1. Hey thanks a lot, I was beginning to kinda feel stupid because I was beginning to think that I was the only person on the board that likes any imports.
  2. Thats awewsome. Even though I love the DOH a lot, I'm not a whiz at trivia for it...how many years did The DOH air on television for? Or how many seasons are there total?
  3. 63% Dixie, I thought that was pretty good for someone with a mom and dad who are yankees, step-dad whos Dixie, and growing up in Tampa, FL.
  4. Gees, I havent had any root beer in years it seems. I always liked A&W though. These days I like the taste of an ice cold heineken on occasion.
  5. Thats interesting. The other day on the internet I came across someone who took a photo of their general lee replica in front of what used to be the Boars Nest on the show. The photo I think was taken last year or something and it was currently a church they said. Do you know if the Boar's Nest was ever an actual bar called the Boar's Nest or under another name?
  6. hey now, I dont find anything wrong with imports. Well maybe except for that one, but that was funny! lol
  7. heh, I guess nobody likes my car.. Well, yeah I guess honda civics are not among the most popular choice vehicles of country folks.
  8. Thats awesome. Having a vehicle to get around in is a good thing for anyone I'd say. I'm just curious, how old are you if you dont mind me asking?
  9. Hey Susan, I'm 26, I'm new to this site as well, and I grew up watching the Dukes also. My mom never cared for it, but I absolutely just loved it. Thats a funny story about your grandparent's car door. Its cool to actually see how many fans there really are out there and to find out how much the DOH were really loved. The lord knows I'll be a fan for life. Anyways, welcome to the site. Eric
  10. Man, I would so love to go to something like that, but I really doubt I could make it even if I really wanted to due to a family reunion out of state that I need to attend in May. Do they have these every year or something?
  11. Hey everyone. This is what I like to sometimes call "my go-kart". Its my pride and joy. I hope you like it. Its a 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe I've been working on it slowly for a few years now. It has a 1.7L sohc vtec with a 5spd. I was running a 75 shot of nitrous on it until I sold it recently. At the moment I have a full tein coilover-damper suspension dropped 3 inches in the front and 2.5" in the rear. Front and Rear strut tower bars and rear lower tie bar. Cold air intake, full mandrel bent 2.5" downpipe and cat-back stainless exhaust. ACT heavy duty clutch and super street disc. Upgraded Headgasket and ARP headstuds. Wheels are from a 00 civic Si and are wrapped in falken azenis 205/50 series. A T3 turbo project is currently in the works and is almost complete. When a dyno session can be scheduled following the install, she'll be fully tuned at 9psi for daily driving and will be ready to eat some modified mustangs for breakfast...atleast until I can build the bottom end up and then I can look for bigger fish to fry. http://www.7thgencivic.com/memberrides/showphoto.php/photo/39181/sort/4/cat/500/page/1
  12. I like Chevy Trucks and Dodge too....both are way better than Ford IMO.
  13. Are there any General Lee owners on this site have any really good, clean pictures of their General that they would like to post up? I did some searching on google but suprisingly most of the pics I found were not that great of quality.
  14. Maybe the bat mobile was slightly before my time or something but nothing beats The General Lee IMO.
  15. I gotta buy the collection...unfortunately I dont remember that episode.
  16. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I want to say hello to all The Dukes fans out there. Its my day off today and being the roommate of someone who watches CMT alot, all the recent viewings of past Dukes of Hazzrd episodes and the talks about the new movie coming out has really got me reminiscing alot. I've been doing a lot of searching on the internet for behind the scences info and memorabilia which is how I found this forum. I'm 26 years old and for as long as I can remember I've had a passion for cars. Since I was in diapers probably. I remember sitting in front of the TV as early as 3 years old anxiously waiting every Thursday night for my mom to finish watching Entertainment Tonight so that I could watch my Dukes of Hazzard at 8pm eastern standard time (broadcast television). This must have been in 81' or 82'. I loved this show so much as a small child and I loved the General Lee the most even though I was too young to even know what kind of car it was at the time. I still have the same passion for cars to this day as I did as a todler. One day I dream to own a very close replica of the General Lee (a real 69 Dodge Charger) as a collectors item. As crazy as I may sound, I guess you can say that the show and the general lee has made a huge impact and contribution to who I am today and I cannot thank the cast, directors, producers, stunt men, and everypne who contributed to the show's success enough for that. The show and the all the memories I have of it live in me to this day and always will till the day I die. Just felt like sharing my two cents worth. Thanks to those who are reading. Sincerely, Eric Tampa, FL
