  1. I think that the problem most people have with Coy and Vance actually stems from WB requiring that they try to act as carbon copies of Bo and Luke. Had they been allowed to develop their own characters, I think that they would be more able to be considered as part of the Duke family.

    LS3

I don't really know how much more different they were supposed to be. I mean, after all, they were there to technically replace TW and JS when they walked out. Should they have been brothers rather than cousins ?

I suppose people would've been a little more tolerant of them had they say, not driven The General Lee and had their own car to drive around.

Of course, the ratings would've surely dropped and the show might've been cancelled for sure then.

That just goes to show though that the real star was The General himself. No offense to Bo or Luke....

  3. Heck, before now, I think most people thought the Charger looked like the Shelby version from the 80's. (Remember the hatchback?)

That really killed the model anyway. I think this new 2006 version just put the final nail in the perverbial coffin.

You'd think they would've took Ford's example of the T-bird and Mustang and designed a more "throwback" Charger design.

    There's always 2007... :)

  4. Chrysler needs to remember what side their bread is buttered on...

If it weren't for The Dukes of Hazzard, the Charger would just be another muscle car in a LOOOONG line of muscle cars...

True, it would still be a cool car, but it would've never achieved legendary status like it has today. One could possibly say cult status.

If they don't wanna embrace that fact, I say screw 'em.

The new "charger" sucks anyway. :p
