  1. I have that on vhs,but didn't notice that,so will have to watch it again to see if i spot it,yes sir,the General should never be seen with open doors!!!

On that subject, any of you rememebr ever seing the general lee doors opened, and wiche episode do you think they were,as far as I know, there was two episodes where the doors opened dilibrate!

CAn you name them two episodes,i'll be back with the answers!!!

  2. Yeah i only got it off tv also,I just loved that show and seen it often,I still refer to that show as being the original General lee of all General lee used in all of the episodes!!!!

Mind you ,there is no commercials on any of the dukes that I ahve on tape, and I have about 15 vhs tapes full of dukes!!!:lol::wink::wink:

  3. I so agree with them winning awards for those parts!

I also cried when bo and luke faught and jessie was giving bo advise about what he had to do in "carnival of thrills",where bo was crying as jessie told him he always had a home to come to!

I also cried when uncle jessie was in the hospital, after he fell looking for that bounty hunter(forget his name),who was hired by rosco to frame the duke boys in 10 million dollar sherrif!

When they all were in the hospital and bo was crying telling jessie to please wake up!

  4. Mary ellen is seen being chased by some detectives who are trying to catch her after she runs off with her baby!

Some old coot, declared her to be an unfit mother and won in court for the custody of the baby!

As she races on,she spots the general lee,and puts the baby in the dukes car!

During this time,bo,luke ,daisy and jessie are having a picnic not far away, singing"mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys"

Everything is mahem after that has the dukes try to keep the baby hid!

I don't think bo or luke ever held the baby, just Daisy! Then they bring her to an abanded barn and leave daisy with the baby there!

they get chased by the old coot and his flunky's and at the end they save the child and daisy form a grass fire!

The old coot in confronted by some circuit judge to hold the baby in hazzard, but after what they went through, the grandfather changes his mind and lets marry ellen keep her baby!!

Hope I remembered enough for you to want to watch it,I have it on tape already!

  5. I have that episode I taped off cmt,and bubba does punch luke out in that particular scene, just blind luck on my part!!!

Luke throws a punch to bubba's stomach and bubba says"friend, wish you hadn't done that..." then punches luke in the face as the scene switches over to enos taking a picture of loretta inside the boars nest!

  6. I'm sure you'll see it again soon, but I will tell you this much!

Bo punched luke, then they fought and bo decided the farm was too small for the both of them!

Then bo took off to the fair ground with the general to meet diane!

Luke got arrested for stealing county property(the general lee),by enos, while rosco arrested bo for the same!

Carl from the fair ground bailed bo out, while jessie and Daisy, bailed out luke!

Then luke, jessie and daisy were with the insurance guy for the carnival to check with the dude that crashed in the stunt that nearly killed him!

then they found out what had happened to the car as being sabotaged, cut gas line! Meanwhile, while bo and diane were getting ready, carl cuts the gas line on the general lee!

Luke and the others race to get to the fair grounds before bo makes that jump and get there in the nick of time!

They fight a bit verbally and then catch carl, while boss hogg cancels the whole stunt!

Finally, cooter fixes the gas line and luke joins bo for the 52 car jump,I loved that part when they stopped fighting with each other!!!

Then they make the jump and clear the parked cars!!! Diane and her carnival leaves s bo learns growing pains !The show ends with crawdad bisk, best the ever had!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

  7. Flash was in the episode"ten million dollar sherif",where rosco inherited

money from his dead uncle, wich dropped considerably to $ 10.00...lol!

Flash was also in"man 's best friend",where a little orphan kids got united with basset hound that the duke boys got from the dog pound, was rosco ever upset

    when flash was kidnapped!

Flash also appeared in many others, can you name a few???

  8. First,I'd like to thank you for the links! As you all know,I'm one of the few that dislikes this movie ever comming out!

How ever,if the New Dukes of hazzard is filmed according to what i read, then I may consider giving in a bit and give it a run! The fact that the dukes are running shine is kinda cool, sorta like viewing what the dukes went through before they got caught!

I still wish that they would at least wear the same clothes as Bo and Luke, and daisy should be dark haired not blonde!Jessica could at least dye her hair dark for the movie!

And they can make burt look fat,be more like J.D. hogg! Sure i don't agree with the cast, but if they can wear the same clothes,be dark haired and fat, then at least it would as close to what we are used to!

Seing Daisy blond ,or J.D. not fat ,or uncle jessie in pony tail, just doesn't work for me!

I will go see it in june, and I will keep an open mind,as long as they keep it clean(no vulgar or foul language and such),and stick to the plot of the original Dukes Of Hazzard!

From What I read of the links,I may actually enjoy this new movie,as long as it is rated "E" for everyone. If we want new generation dukes, the young as well as the old have to be able to see it!

Well, this is dukefan down and gone, keep it between the ditches!

  9. As a kid,the first thing that got my attention was the general lee! As I grew older, daisy duke in them shorts got me hot and bothered.....lol!

But what did it for me,now,is the escape from the real world,I watch the re runs and I feel at peace, laughing at Rosco's giggles and his stupidness and boss hogss turn of events!

The familly values of the duke familly brought me even closer to the show,as I felt like I was part of the show! I felt their sorrows, like when jessie thaught Bo and Luke had drowned in the pond!

I felt the pain of Rosco's agony when he couldn't help Enos save the boys and the task of telling jessie about it! I also felt his joy when he found out they were alive and was chasing them again!

They were and still are an important part of my life, moments like when Bo and Luke fought due to some girl named diane from carnival of thrills was fairly emotional!

So many reasons to not forget the dukes,at the end, their bond as a familly went through the test of time and survived!

And the line I will never forget, wich came fron Uncle jessie was:" Once a friend of the dukes, you're a friend for life!"

That and many more reason is why i will never forget "THE DUKES OF HAZZARD!"

  10. Rebel wolf, that is one awsome story of your experience,i was really touched by it,and I mean really touched!

I've cherished that show since i was 9 yrs old,and I've been obsessed with "The Dukes Of Hazzard" ever since ! That is my dream to have A '69 charger R/T someday,so I can make my own general lee from scratch.

Money wise I'm financially challenged, but last year i got a break,my friend 's uncle has a junk yard 2 hours away from me,he has never crushed or got rid of any cars in the past 20 years!

My friend said he'd help me pick the best charger ,that has a good frame and under carriage, then take parts off other chargers and put it all on a flat bed,all I have to do is pay for the towing fees and that's it!

Might cost me $ 200.00,but man i'll get the money somewheres! This is my dream, and I prayed to GOD,not to take me from this world untill I have acheived this goal!

I have all the dukes episodes on video also, except for the coy and vance ones, only two I have with them in it( the mean green machine & welcome back bo & luke)

I might be old fashion, but to me no one can be dukes,no other hazzard can existe, and this movie ??????not gona like it!

But I told everyone here,( after i said I was sorry for trashing the new movie),that I will go see it and keep an open mind, so I will,no promises that I'll watch it all though!

Once again rebel wolf, your story really touched me deep, thank you for sharing that and keeping hazzard alive! You're an awsome duke fan! :D

  11. The '67 mustang ,yes/the ss chevelle, yes, and anything under 1981 yes, but don't forget daisy's yellow road runner, that was one hot car too!

I have to agree with coltrane, about the fast and furious, the previews made it look like the black charger was the star of the show, man was I pissed when they totalled it,wich totalled me for that show!

so having the general lee revenge would be sweet....lol!

anything newer then rocos patrol car in my opinion shouldn't be in this movie!

Keep it all classic muscle '60's to 1981 !

I'm a chev man myself, but my dream car is and always will be the '69 dodge charger R/T !

I love all makes of muscle cars of the '60's and '70's,it was muscle mania heaven of that era! And no other era will ever come close, considering they were plain and simple and fast!

Other muscle cars I'd like to see,is the superbee/coronet/'68 camaro( boss hoggs runner car and black tilly(jessie's runner, think it was a torino, not sure)>>> of course jessie did have tilly the second>>>'65 or '66 mustang!

Put it all together, and you got a hot movie and sequel on your hands!!!!

  12. ,this is getting out of hand, hazzard is being disfaced!

All this talk about sex ,drugs and profanity language is so outragious. When did tarnishing the dukes of hazzard become the topic of this forum???

Our opinions are suppose to be about the new movie, not trashing the original t.v. series, this is so wrong!

In our childhood, we couldn't wait to sit in front of the tube and watch the dukes of hazzard! As adults,we still get a kick out of it! Someone in here said, the dukes didn't own the show, they were only actors, only actors????

That was a low blow, all dukes fans know that the original cast made the show, and the general lee was the biggest star of all!

Sure we all have mixed feeling about the new movie, and would like the original cast in it,and i was the first to trash the movie to hell, but I was wrong to do that!

Giving the movie a chance is what i decided to do,'cause I figure the new cast are fans too,and this is their chance to act out their fav show on the big screen!

Rumours fly,but you all know that warner brothers ain't gona have profanity and such in the movie. When wb review their take of the movie, they will make it familly oriented at any cost!

It don't need to be filled with lust, drugs and lesbians, so you really think wb is that idiotic????

Leave our found memory of the dukes be unscared, and give the new movie a go,then decide!

As for the comment on uncle jessie and diversity,he would never accept profanity or sex or drugs at all, he was the back bone of all the show,so stop making him who he wasn't,and remember him as the kindest soul around!

Rememeber always what he said: "we may not be rich in worldly good, but we got familly, and that's what counts" and " a stranger is a friend we never met" ,finally," once a friend of a duke, you're a friend for life"!

wonder where all this come from>>>look into the forum:"ben jones hates the scipt">>>something like that!

the you'll understand why i wrote this forum! :(

  13. ,as far as i'm concern, politics have nothing to do with it!

who cares, ben jones was a great actor as cooter, this forum made me sick, who cares if bo and luke had sex or not in the back round,do you go telling everyone when you had sex????

If this new movie is gona have profanity and such, wich i strongly dought, then they will never be on the big screen!

warner brothers ain't dumb, they will make this movie the way they want, but it will also be familly oriented,so all ages can enjoy the new dukes of hazzard!

All duke fans know that this film will be familly oriented, and warner brothers will make it so!

anyways,it is what it is I guess!

  14. listen,I decided to give this movie a chance,to watch it before judging, but i guarantee you one thing, this will not turn into a t.v. series!

Anyone who has watched and enjoyed the original t.v. series,is not gona be interested in the new one!

Most of us will go see the movie, just to see the General lee on the big screen! We may not care for the cast, but have to give then the benefit of dought, who knows, maybe they are duke fans too,and this could be a priveledge for them!

However,I'll bet $100.00 with anyone, that this movie will not have a sequel and will never be a t.v. series again!

  15. I agree with you das,

If they were to use any car other then the '69 charger as the general lee I wouldn't only be tempted to walk out....I would walk out!

Rumours flew about the flag no being on,but I saw that it was on the general lee anyways!

But that would be enough to walk out too,no flag no satying for me...lol!

  16. I missed that, does anyone have a pic of this xtreme lee,you talking about the 2006 version of the general,if so uuuuuuugly!

Hokie,if i'm readin you right, you didn't care for the '69 charger as the General Lee! Did you ever see the show"Happy birthday General Lee" ?

That was the dukes proudest moment, and when they drove it out of cooters garage after hours or restoration, what a hot looking mean "orange" machine!

It's unique,to be never copied. That charger looked and was the coolest looking car ever, just check out the surveys hokie, the General lee is voted the hottest car on t.v. history!

Without the original General Lee in this new movie, they might as well pack it in now!

That is the only reason i'm going to see it,to see the General Lee('69 charger R/T) on the big screen!

  17. Man I just read a few of you all's post and it was enough!

The General lee without the flag is outrageous ! It's the most popular car in the world!

Even those who didn't care much for the shows, all thaught the General lee was the coolest car ever! It's a trade mark of the dukes of hazzard, just like the statue of liberty is the trade mark for new york!

Take her away and you got trouble, same thing applies for the flag on the General lee!

I decided to give this movie a chance, but as I sit down,if I see the General lee without the flag,I'm walking out of the theatre and boooooooooing the movie!!!

  18. Cletus was great in the series he was on,and sheriff little did put some sting in the shows he was in.There are many more caracters in the dukes of hazzard that ain't in the movie.

They picked the most regular of them all and made a remake of the dukes,it's impossible to have it all in a two hour movie!

I decided to give this movie a chance, after I see it ,then I'll decide what I think of it!

  19. The cast for the original dukes of hazzard was well picked, and the caracters were well played!

As for Burt reynolds, he has always been one of my fav actors, but as boss hogg????I'd rather see him act as Roscoe, after all James best was buddies with burt, way back in the cannon ball run movie,on and off screen!

Burt was really funny and the coolest bandit ever,as Roscoe he gets to be funny and upholding the law ,sorta speak, instead of being the chasee,he becomes the chaser...lol!

I think Danny devito would be a great boss hogg. that scott fellow,is an awsome actor, but doesn't fit the Bo type!

I've been knocking this movie since I got here, what an ass I was, I took y'all advise and decided to give it a chance!

I still think the cast is not well picked ! I love the idea of the general lee in action on the big screen, and maybe these actors are big fans of the dukes too, hell If I had the chance to be Bo Duke,i'd take it too!

Willie nelson is a great guy,and he can act somewhat, but just don't seem fitting for him to be uncle jessie!

I guess I just expected too much of this movie, wanted the cast to be in resemblance to the original as much as possible !

I guess I'm old in my ways,I really feel bad for those other post i put out knocking this movie!

Well thanks for not shoving me aside,i really didn't mean to offend anyone! sincerely ,dukefan!
