  1. Anderson chuckled listening to Fargo speak with the woman called Daisy. Now, he understood that his partner was only trying to see if he could get any information about Riddick, the Sheriff from her or the passenger seat chick. When the loose wire fixed, he smiled and echoed Fargo’s courtesy goodnight to the two.

Fargo waved as the jeep sped off. He hadn’t learned anything new but that was alright. A crooked grin appeared on his face. He began to walk with Anderson back to their vehicle.

Down the road and away from the two strangers, Daney picked up Dixie’s cb mic and pressed the talk button. “Sheriff Rosco, there was two city fellas askin’ about you and Riddick just now...â€

    (open cue)

  2. and rolled to a stop when the driver saw a female standing on side of the road. She stepped to the passenger side and hazel eyes looked over the front seat occupants. “You fellas lost?†Daisy asked.

“No,†Fargo spoke gruffly. He left the keys in the ignition. The engine idled down.

“Oh,†Daisy smiled. “Then you wouldn’t mind helping me fix my vehicle over there…†She pointed to a white Jeep. “Just take a coupla minutes.â€

“We don’t have time-†Anderson’s answer was cut short by a stare from Fargo. They exchanged looks for a moment. Fargo exited the Camaro and followed the brunette woman. Anderson also got out of the vehicle when it appeared that Fargo was motioning him over.

He walked slowly. “What is that smell?†He wondered out loud.

“It’s fresh air,†Daney called politely from her seat in the jeep. “So where you fellas headed too?â€

Neither Fargo or Anderson replied. “I think it might be a loose wire or something…†Daisy patted the jeep’s hood. She glanced over her shoulder and wondered if this was such a good idea.

“We’ll check it out.†Fargo and Anderson agreed.

  3. Your welcome, Rob. =)

It’s possible that someone made that shirt themselves; did you see more than one person with it?

http://www.buildagenerallee.com/shirts.html has one similar to what you describe but I can’t guarantee it is the exact one.

    Try this site, http://www.confederategeneralleefanclub.com .

Or you could buy a white “01†t shirt from http://www.cafeshops.com/hazzardnet and get it dyed orange.

  4. Daney was on her way to the Sheriff’s Office to find MaryAnne or Rosco when the unmistakable sound of walnuts shattered the quietness of the night. Pistachio not filberts, she mused. Examiner stopped with the gentle nudge of his rider’s boots into his silky brown sides. Concerned that it might be Daisy in trouble, Daney urged him to go.

Hazel eyes widened at the sight of two unknown women on a gray mustang. A leather whip in pieces. A black clad figure with a gun atop a beautiful black horse. The young man from the paper she had given the Sheriff lay on the ground.

Quietly, Examiner made a wide path until he and his brunette rider were in back of the mustang and came to a stop on its left side. Daney took a deep breath. She looked at the two women. She glanced to the mustang’s rider injured hand.

(Note for Kristy: My apologizes, Jax's post changed after this one was made. )

  5. A thick cloud of coal smoke wavered in the direction of a figure standing on the depot’s platform. Daney lifted a hand and picked the bridge of her nose with her index finger and thumb from the pungent smell. Her other hand still held the Morgan’s reins. Click Clank Whoo… Whoo… A freight train pulled away from the station. The whistle sounded louder than the engine’s steam hissing and the cars moving along the narrow gauge rails.

She had been passing gas when the sight of work men loading a horse into one of boxes caught her attention. Having already taken three similar Thoroughbreds back to the livery stables at the Sheriff’s request, the detective messenger had a feeling that Chet Duke had been sold out by his own gang.

The train’s noise became just an echo in Daney’s ears. Clink Clank… She used the platform to her advantage in getting back on Examiner.

Clip Clop… Examiner walked around the building. Daney leaned forward and hugged his neck gently, whispered instructions. She straightened in the saddle and Examiner skipped trotting and cantered into the darkness backwards toward town. She wondered how everyone else was doing.

(edited to take a dupilcate line out.)

  6. In that crowd, Bo and Luke nodded to each other. The star on Chet’s horse’s nose and the marking on it’s left back leg gave the young man’s disguise away. The two smiled and reached for their rope lariats laying coiled over their boots. They were not pleased that Chet had pushed the Sheriff like he was some outlaw wanna be. Rosco deserved a lot more respect than he had been given.

Rosco had told Bo and Luke not to worry about it. But they were, what if Chet decided to disrespect more folks?

    (cue Kristy or Garrett Duke!!!)

  7. Rosco’s heart beat faster than the unfriendly Duke’s horse carried the rascal out of sight. He stood up a little shaky, but unhurt and wiped his hands over his shirt. All he had planned to do was ask the young man how Jesse was doing. He looked down to see Brian and another fella talking. He turned his head and saw another figure hurrying from the opposite of the alley.

With quick steps, he hurried around to the other side of the tavern. He blinked in surprise at the three horses that stopped the Sheriff in his tracks. He smiled at the woman who emerged from the shadows. “1,000 dollar bounty on Chet’s head?â€

She nodded. “Might be more if the townsfolk take up a collection after what he did to you…â€

    “I’ve been scuffed worse,†Rosco replied. “Don’t worry.â€

    She took a deep breath. “I’m glad you’re ok.â€

“Me too,†Rosco’s blue eyes gazed over the quiet horses again.

  8. "That ain't a nice way to hello," Rosco raised his other hand and moved the gun barrel so it was away from his head. Never flinching, he stared at the younger man.

He heard boot steps coming down both sides of the alley.

    (cue anyone!)

  9. A uniformed man took quiet steps until he reached the left side of the young theif's horse. A document in his pocket. He raised a hand and placed it lightly on Chet's knee. His blue eyes were as bright as the sunlight, and gleam of the badge pinned to his shirt. He tilted his head and grinned. "Howdy there," Rosco paused. "Don't believe we're met."

    (cue Chet!)

  10. In an alley near the tavern, Daney asseted what she had found amidst neighing and whineing. The paper in her hands told of nine stolen race horses. And in less she was mistaken, they had just been found. A gentle, hot wind blew the closest stallion’s mane in her face. “Oh,†She exclaimed and stepped back.

Daney contemplated whether to gather the horses herself and try to lead them to the local authority. Or leave them be while she went for assistance. The thought of becoming Crepe Daney cinched her choice. “You fellas, stay here.†She whispered. Hazel eyes took another glance and she walked back down the alley. Her boots stirring dust with each step.

She walked into the tavern to inquire where the Sheriff was.

    (cue anyone)

  11. One of the barmaids watched the exchange between the two men. She turned to a long haired brunette dressed in a hankercheif material top and denim waist overalls. “Think I should get someone?†She whispered.

Daney shrugged and picked up her hat. She started for the tavern’s exit. She needed to check something in Examiner’s saddlebag. She couldn’t remember if she had left a document in her coat. A smile crossed her lips hearing the rowdy laughter of patrons having a good time.

She peeked back over her right shouler to see...

  12. Forty hours later, race day morning. Daisy stood up from the kitchen table. She had double checked each registration paper and placed them back in the legal size manila envelope. The boys were out with Chance going over the course. Kristy had taken Jamie and Shay to play with the Rhuebottom’s grandkids.

She walked over to the sink and made a fresh pot of coffee. A low engine rumble came through the open window. A light breeze blew the curtains. She saw the General Lee pull up to the barn just before the curtains fell back in place.

    (cue anyone!)

  13. Daney followed the Sheriff. *You're welcome, I'd have went and got Bandit but Brian is right, it was probably best for him and your doppleganger cousin to go.* She paused in her thoughts. She blinked seeing MaryAnne and the Doc...

    (cue anyone!)

  14. "Yeah, Chance checked her over. It's either retrograde or traumatic form," Daney paused. Hazel eyes stared into the dark ones peering around Cully's shoulder. "She could have her memory back by the time we walk in the room." She sqeeuzed Rosco's hand. "Thank you- do you think maybe if she seen Bandit that might help?"

    (Cue Brian or Rosco)

  15. "Yes, Cooter." Daney nodded. "Doc got her all fixed up..." She paused and pointed down the hall. "Please excuse me." She hurried away. And didn't stop until she nearly ran over a friend. Hazel eyes blinked and stared at the gentleman and his companions... "I'm sorry." She whispered. "I wish it was me with no memory instead of MaryAnne."
