Hi Roger, They are basically production-made print overruns that were never needed for the show, so they stayed in storage all this time. The screen-used items would have come from the exact same print runs. In the 1980s, when it was an expensive process to set up a huge press for custom items, they always ran some extras just in case they were needed later. The set of 2 licenses is $250. I'm actually working for them directly now, and will be their archivist and online sales rep. We're setting up a website for collectors that will be separate from their production site for movie and TV jobs. I'll be handling all the vintage inventory and collector orders and requests, so they can focus on their current work.

Set of 2 - Hazzard County Driver's License + Generic (Abe Hogg) Driver's License - $250 -https://ibb.co/cK32YKHw Originally made for their appearance in the post office scene in 'The Hack of Hazzard', the Hazzard County driver's license props can also briefly be spotted in the episodes 'Miss Tri-Counties' and 'The Ransom of Hazzard County'. The more generic version was used to create the forged license of Boss' twin brother Abe in 'Baa, Baa White Sheep.' It has extra paper at the bottom so it would fit in a typewriter. The 'Hazzard' version never had typed details, as they were never meant to be seen up close, and only had a fingerprint. 1983 Hazzard County License Plate Graphics & 84 Plate Tab - $250 - https://ibb.co/cdpBX5Z When Georgia's real-world license plates were redesigned in 1983, Dukes updated their prop plates as well. This is an uncut sheet of original green '19' '83' & 'Hazzard County' graphics that was made for the new plates. The set also includes an original production-made '84 registration sticker from the final season. 1978, 1982, or 1984 License Plate Registration Tabs - $60 each - https://ibb.co/b5XmgJCt These original license plate 'year' tabs that do not include the state name of Georgia were specifically made for the show. The regular Georgia tabs of the time were different from these custom-made Dukes stickers. Gold 'Scales' Seal Sticker for Police Cars, Matte Gold - $100 each - https://ibb.co/ZRsLG8hs The center seal with the scales design was a separate sticker that covered the original design on every set of Sheriff car door decals. These graphics were all on gold sticker paper, not vinyl. This is one reason the producers avoided filming in rainy conditions. The 'County Sheriff' door emblem was a stock item from the prop house, used in numerous older shows and movies. Both mirror and matte gold stickers were used, and sometimes both could be seen in the same episodes. These are matte gold. 1981 Mississippi FTO 521 License Plate - $200 - https://ibb.co/G40SQMct These plates were made for the episode 'Trouble at Cooter's,' where one was used on the fur thieves' van. It was reused on one of the cars of the visitors attending Carver's meeting in 'Undercover Dukes'. This is an unused original and is made of Crescent mat board. I found a few of these, but only have one left. We found a few of these in the old stock plates recently. They also made a sticker version of the graphic to add to a blank plate quickly if needed. The stickers are $150. Using a fan page, (Hazzard Garage) Shane Kleinhans has made several inappropriate posts on my Hazzard County Gazette Facebook page. He also had some friends make posts. I have now banned them, but I want to address some of his false statements here. The original artwork for the license plates and stickers used in the show is not, and has never been, owned by Warner Bros. It was created by an independent prop house in LA, and the stickers were used for other non-WB productions. Shane claims that my art is stolen from Travis Bell. Of course my stickers are going to look similar, because both of us created replicas that are based on the exact same original source material: the TV show and the surviving props. I don't have to steal anything from Travis Bell or anyone else. I actually do the work. All of my plate stickers are recreated from screenshots, photos, and scans of original props. Check out the image in the link below. Those are all real, original Dukes plate stickers from the collection of a friend who gave me permission to use them as reference for my replicas. I have original 1980 and 1981 stickers from the show in my own collection. Buyer beware! In October 2024, Shane bought sets of my 1978 and 1984 Dukes replica license plate year sticker sets from my Etsy shop, 'Hazzard County Props.' In total, he made three separate orders. Two for 1978 stickers and one for 1984 stickers. I also sent him 79, 80, 81, and 82 stickers as free extras. Today, a friend sent me a screenshot from Shane's 'General Lee owners club' Facebook page, where he is now offering exact copies of the stickers that I just sold him. All of my items are made from my own artwork. When original props are used for reference, I always get the permission of the owner first before selling replicas. I actually do the work. I don't just copy other people's stuff without permission to make a quick buck. New cutting dies for the red border pinstripe pieces have arrived. I have removed the old pieces that did not fit well on these Boss & Rosco plates, and have updated them with the new details. The curved corners are now a part of the cut, and no longer made with straight pieces that have to be bent/creased to fit. These are now almost perfect copies of the vintage original prop plates from the 1980s. The paint is a custom matched color that is not available in stores, and I have also been able to verify that the clear coat is the exact same type that was used by the prop makers for the show. Boss & Rosco Plates I now have all of the steel dies needed to make the plate numbers for the main characters and many of the others also. I have all of the numbers and most of the alphabet in that style except for a few of the less common letters.

I never liked the cheap looking plain plastic plates that they used for the '97 reunion. I made my own version to show what they may have looked like if they'd had more time and the money for some better props. Alternate Concept for the 1997 Reunion License Plates This is based on the 1990-1996 Georgia plates. I used a 1992 sticker because Bo and Luke had been away for a few years in the story.

Here are some photos of a green season 6-7 style test plate that I made with the defective dies. I also added a few HD screenshots for reference. The dies were mistakenly made backward, and they will not cut the edges of the letters from the correct side so that they lay flat on the plate as they should. The '0' and 'H' dies were also scaled wrong and couldn't be used for the test plate. All of the issues are being corrected and they are sending me new dies soon. Links to photos of my new replica 1979-1982 registration decals for the red season 2-5 plates. I have them listed on eBay, username is drb1117. The photos are a little grainy looking because of my old camera, but the actual print quality is very clean and clear. These stickers are vinyl. I had them custom made by a sticker company from artwork based on the original props. They are weatherproof, fade resistant, and have a very good adhesive backing so you can use them outside on your cars. The 1981 sticker is available with the number 767806 and 726907. Both were used randomly on the original prop plates. I also have the red 1978 stickers for the season one plates, but haven't got photos of those yet. 1979 License Plate Sticker 1980 License Plate Sticker 1981 License Plate Sticker 1982 License Plate Sticker I'm working with a company that is making some custom steel cutting dies for the license plate lettering, so that I can make screen-accurate replica plates using the same materials as the original prop makers. I should have some updates on that soon. I received a set of dies recently, but they weren't exactly right, so they are being remade. But I was able to put together a test plate and the results look better than any other replica that I have ever seen. I'll get the dies for the season 6-7 dark green General Lee & Daisy Jeep plates first. I already have the stickers for the 1983 & Hazzard County lettering for the green plates. In a few weeks, I'll be receiving additional cutting dies for the '76', 'Hazzard County', 'GOVT', and border pinstriping for the red plates. Later this summer, I'll have the letter dies available for all of the other main character vehicles. By the end of the year, I should have all the remaining letters and numbers available for any custom plates that you need with the screen-accurate font.

If anyone needs a Knight Rider plate I also can make the KITT / KNIGHT plates. Graphics are copied from a surviving original prop. They are also $30/each shipped in the US. For the Dukes plates, I also have the yellow 1981 stickers and the white 1982 stickers if you need them. They are weatherproof, fade resistant, and have a really good adhesive backing so they will stay on your plates. The graphics are all vinyl now. Too many issues with masking and painting them due to the humidity here. The plates will have a clear coat, so you can use them outside on a car.

Here's one that I only noticed from watching the HD version of the show. In the flashback scenes from 'Happy Birthday, General Lee', the black Charger already had the CNH 320 license plate when Bo and Luke bought the car from the Capitol City junkyard. In 'Big Daddy', Rosco mentions to Boss Hogg that it takes 30 days to get a new plate from the DMV. That means that the original version of the CNH 320 plate that you see here must have been a Capitol City plate. In the screencap, it seems to have two words in the city/county area that are slightly too narrow to be 'Hazzard County'. The prop master for the show in the later seasons was very good about maintaining continuity with props like license plates, (the early seasons were kind of a mess) so they very likely had a custom set of prop plates made just for this episode. One of the plates that I got from the prop house that made the originals had a defect in the county label area. I removed the lettering from that section, sanded and repainted it, and replaced the missing text with a Capitol City label that I cut from red vinyl using the correct font/typeface. Coincidentally, the prop company uses the exact same type and color of paint for these plates that I have already been using for my replicas for several years! Their red details are also a perfect match for the red vinyl I use. (Bonus detail: The guy who runs the Capitol City junkyard is Will Hare, who is probably best known as 'Old Man Peabody' in Back to the Future)

Yes. Georgia changed their real plates in 1983 and all of the prop plates were updated at the beginning of season 6 based on those changes. The only time red plates are seen in the last two seasons are on some background vehicles in early season 6, in reused stock shots, and for the flashbacks from 'Happy Birthday, General Lee'. In season 6, there is no registration sticker on the plates. In season 7 they added the 'W 84' sticker which was similar to the ones on real Georgia plates at the time. I was finally able to get some prop license plates from the same Los Angeles prop house that made all the real ones for the show. These are all hand made, exactly the same way that they made the actual props for Dukes back in the 80s. The lettering is an exact match for several surviving original plates, so they did use the original dies to cut them. They had a few slightly different sets of dies that were approximately the same size/type. The plates are almost identical to the real ones. The only exception is that they are made using better quality blanks now. As I have already done with the 79 plate, I will be updating the 81 and 82 plates with slightly larger more accurate sized decals. Those were made slightly too small due to a minor miscommunication. 1979 / Season 2 plate: The next 2 are the same color as the 79, just in different lighting. 1981 / Season 3-4: 1982 / Season 5: 1984 / Season 7: This plate has printed decals (green on clear vinyl) for the year and the Hazzard County text, just like the real ones.

I was working on this prop last year and had to put the project on hold for a while. This is a full-size and screen-accurate replica of the Re-Elect Rosco poster from 'One Armed Bandits'. The posters are excellent quality and professionally printed with very sharp, clear graphics copied from the original source material. They look like they could have been taken from the Dukes set. This is a very limited print run of only 25 posters for now. Each poster will be rolled, sealed in a protective poly bag, and shipped in a mailing tube by USPS Priority Mail. With each poster, I will also include a free Hazzard Co. Sheriff's Dept. Patch just like the ones worn by Rosco, Enos, and Cletus in the show. From S5E6 'Big Daddy'. It's the stolen plate used on a truck in a robbery. The guy makes a deal with Boss to get a clean plate for his truck, and Rosco swaps plates with the General. The 'Atlanta' is a little bit too big on mine. I'll fix that for the next one.

I know it's kind of an old post, but Will Hare was also 'Old Man Peabody' in Back to the Future. I used to have an old signed theater biography file of his from the 1940s. He's a tough autograph to find.
