Stands close to Alex while manuevering the key from her gunbelt into her hand and then unlocking the door. looks back at Alex and gives another grin.* Besides...you've waited a long time to be arrested by me... *Turns him again so that his back is facing the open cell doorway. Stands dangerously close, backing Alex into the cell. Once he's across the threshold, stops and lingers close for a moment longer, hands clasped on the lapels of his leather jacket. Her lips move closer to his....* *....and then suddenly she gives him a shove into the cell and quickly closes the cell door* CLANG! *locks it* *Steps back from the cell and looks at Alex, with apology* I'm sorry, Alex, but it's for your own good.

*nods* I do. *straightens the collar and rests hands on shoulders, fingers touching the ends of the blonde hair* You would do anything to see him released from jail. Maybe even...take his place...?

*pauses for a moment as the comments from the peanut gallery fly around the booking room. Only takes eyes off Alex for a moment, listening, and then meets the blonde man's gaze once again* Hmmm... *traces fingers along the collar and lapel of Alex's leather jacket* Yes, you would do anything for me. And you would do anything for Brian too, wouldn't you?

Anything... *breathes the word and stares into Alex's eyes* Well then, lemme think....you would do anything for me wouldn't you, Alex?

*steps up to Alex, reaches out and grabs him by the collar* Anything?

Then you would be my number one suspect, Alex.

*looks at Alex* Lemme see if I got this straight... Giving Chet the Lord of the Outlaws title would give that title a bad name? Isn't it already bad? Am I missing something? I could see if you said that giving the title to Chet would give it a good name but...I'm not following the "bad" arguement. As for the revolt...now, if I were to let Chet have the title for a bit, you'd revolt against my decision? Thus... You would revolt against me?

I'm sorry, cousin, but I may have no choice. Somebody's gotta fill the position while you're in the clink here. And it'll probably be for a spell, unless you and I come to some sorta terms, which I haven't thought of any terms to present yet.

*looks at Chet, then looks at Alex* Well, ya know, he's got a point. Bein' Lord of the Outlaws is a big responsibility and I'm not anywhere near qualified to carry the title myself, despite the fact that Brian hijacked my badge while I was in jail. See, I'm different. Instead of taking on new responsiblities, I'd rather outsource. *looks at Chet* Let me think it over, Chet...

Hmmm...maybe. Now that you've realized the seriousness of the situation I may be more agreeable to discussin' some terms. We'll see...

He tricked me into the jail cell. He locked the door, thus obstruction. Geez, Alex, ain't you figured out Hazzard Law yet?

Well, then it's a good thing you're by yourself here in the cell. Tho' I'd be careful considerin' you got half the town watching you. You may consider yourself expensive to keep penned up but you're affordable entertainment to everyone in Hazzard. Khee! As for charges...well if you wanna get that formal about it.... I'd do that except I think Boss would take all the peanuts for himself and still expect everyone to put a quarter into the machine anyway. I may have jailed my kin, but I would at least want there to be some peanuts in the machine.
