Daisy: I mean it Bo. . .I'm not going to let them get away with talking to you like that.

Jesse: You have three. . .Me Martha and Misty.

Soon eveyone is gone. . .Even Enos leaving Daisy alone with Andrew who is once again asleep leaving her to listen to the radio.

Jesse: I"m sure she'd be a real good listener. . .I know you need a friend right now.

Daisy: What?

Daisy: *smiles* Well. . .as long as you're okay.

Jesse: *nods* It's true Cooter. . .I loved her too. . .If you ever need someone to talk to. . .I'm sure she'll listen. . .Her name's Misty Lee Duke. . .I'm sure you could find her grave right?

Daisy: *looks down a bit with a serious look* No it isn't Bo. . .I will I promise. . .just cause you have a fourteen year old cousin with a daughter doesn't give them any right to talk to you like that.

Daisy: How do you feel now Andrew?

Jesse: You know we did have a little one at one time Cooter. . .a little girl, but she died a couple days old.

Daisy: It's okay Bo. . .*cries* and if they do it to you agin. . .I'll fight them for you. . .I promise.

Jesse: Well you know you can always call us your Uncle Jesse and Aunt Martha. . .we're here for you.

Luke: I guess not, but Bo. . .I just want to know so that I can tell Uncle Jesse. . .course . . .well Daisy woul probably not rather repeat them if I told her. . .I just want to protect her.

Luke: Well I know you can't repeat anything they said, but what do they mean by what they say?

Jesse: I figured. . .you'll get used to it tho. . .are the kids picking on you for not having a mom?

Enos: You know how much we love you right?

Luke: *nods* are they saying anything about Macy or Enos or Hughie?

Jesse: Well. . .wanna talk to me about what's been going on with you? I mean you just lost your mom not that long ago. . .how's it affecting you?

Luke: I"m not asking you to Bo. . .all I'm asking is what are they about. . .you know like you or Daisy or Macy. . .what?

Luke: Well what are the things they say about?

Jesse: Well. . .I don't know. . .thought it might make you more comfortable talking to me.

Jesse takes Cooter out into the yard and sits him down beside where he had been cutting logs

Luke: Where are the kids in your class hearing about all this?
