  1. Putting the pedal to the metal Bo floored it as he pulled away from his home and headed full speed towards town. The Duke boys were at it again.

    --------------------------------

Raising an eyebrow, "I never known a Duke to lie," she shook her head. "I guess there's a first time for everything."

Shrugging she watched Georgia, "Let me be the first to tell you I know that there's school today and I don't care that your skipping. Just thought I'd make conversation." Cassie still had her usual sass about her and since she never married and had kids of her own didn't have the motherly instinct she should have.

  2. Cassie extended her hand and shook Georgia's, "Cassie Morgan." She smiled pulled away from Georgia, "Luke's daughter? You look like him." Nodding she had to admit that the girl did resemble her father.

"Aren't you suppose to be in school?" This wasn't the first time someone asked Georgia that today. Except, when Cassie asked she had a sly smirk on her face.

    ------------------------------------

Bo nodded, "We'll take the General," he smirked. "Old times.." Both men had to admit that they loved that car. Luke had let Bo keep the orange trademark of Hazzard when he moved to Atlanta, it was only fair.

Picking up his daughter Luke followed Bo out of the front door and got themselves settled into the General Lee. With a roar they were down the dirt road in a hurry.

  3. "Daisy's?" for some reason she automatically assumed this having pushed Luke from her mind. The girl seemed to be chock full of information.

    -----------------------------------

Bo shrugged, "I'm suppose to go into to town to pick a few things up for Jill. Other than that it's a slow day."

Luke nodded, "I thought about heading into to town and see if there's anything that I might need that I just haven't got yet."

"We could go together," Bo would have liked some company and Luke would give it to him. "If you didn't want to take Emma we could drop her by my place to stay with Jill.

  4. Bo had followed father and daughter into the kitchen, "Whoa slow down," he grabbed the spoon from Emma while Luke washed the dishes in the sink. "Here you go, Cuz," he dropped her bowl and spoon into the dish water.

Emma didn't seem too discouraged to lose her instrument she mostly stayed quiet afterwards.

Luke sat the last spoon out to dry, "What are you plans today?" he asked Bo.

    ---------------------------------------

Cassie looked a bit discouraged, "Oh well I guess I'll ask Bo Duke to take a look at my car." She hadn't seen Luke since he moved back and for some reason didn't seem to mind.

  5. Cassie had been heading over to Cooter's to ask him something about her car when she caught sight of Georgia coming out of the garage. "Is Cooter busy?" she asked kindly not knowing who the girl was.

    ---------------------------------

The school wasn't far from Luke's house so in only a matter of minutes and Luke's back road driving he was back home. Coming through the front door his daughter and cousin were both absorbed in the TV.

"Bo, please tell me that your not actually enjoying that?" Looking over at the TV a new episode of Barney was on.

Turning around he grinned, "I'm a simple minded man Luke and this is more on my level."

"I don't doubt it," shaking his head he looked over at Emma, "Emma are you hungry?"

Without turning away from the TV she answered, "Yeah."

Remembering the breakfast he had fixed for Georgia he went over and picked his daughter up. "Come on you can have grits and toast."

Graciously excepting her breakfast she sat at the table and fed herself when Luke presented her with the bowl and spoon.

  6. Cooter lifted his hat and put it back on snug, "Georgia.." Thinking back to a time when he wouldn't want to be ratted out for skipping school. Sighing he shook his head, "Don't make me regret it but, I won't rat you out."

Georgia smiled despite of herself and Cooter's loyalty to the name Duke.

    -------------------------------------------

Luke pulled up to the Grade School, "Have a good day." He smiled at Keith waiting for his farewell.

"Thanks Dad," Keith said in sincererity. He was a good kid. "I'll see you after school." Opening the truck door he hopped out with his stuff. "Bye."

"Bye," he lifted his hand to wave. As Keith shut the door behind him Luke watched him cross the school yard. Putting the truck back in drive he drove off and headed back home to relieve Bo from his Emma duties.

  7. Harvey watched the orange car speed away from the Boar's Nest, "Let them go." He told his men and went back inside, "We'll get them Dukes soon enough; how hard will it be to find an orange car?" Straightening his suite he headed back into Boss' office.

As he entered J.D Hogg and Rosco stared at him, "Sorry about my abrupt leaving it seems that those Dukes broke out and stole my girl." Shaking his head he sat on the desk. "I don't take kindly to theives..Just like I don't take kindly to people who don't pay me.."

Boss Hogg's eyes got wide and Rosco tried to talk through his gag and failed.

"If I was you I'd quit talking," even if you couldn't hear Rosco. "Because it could just possess me to kill both of you quicker. And I'd like for it to be painful and slow."

Getting up he opened the door, "Now sit tight fellas," With that he made his exit.

  8. Emma clapped her hands and looked at her Uncle Bo, "Barney!" Her speech was very good for a child her age. Pointing to the screen she squealed.

Bo laughed and stared at the screen, "Well atleast the shows educational," he said mostly to himself.

    -----------------------------------

Cooter thought about it for a second, "Tomorrow afternoon." He nodded and grabbed a rag to wipe his hands.

Georgia looked somewhat please, "Thanks Cooter."

Raising an eyebrow he leaned against the car, "Ain't you suppose to be at schooll?"

  9. "She loves it," he smiled. "I'll be back shortly. Keith grab your bag." Luke grabbed his truck keys off of the counter.

Keith obeyed by running off into his room and returning with a backpack, "Bye Uncle Bo," he said as he hurried out the front door ahead of his father.

"Bye!," he waved to his nephew as he joined his neice in the living room.

Luke got in the truck and got Keith settled in before turning the ignition and putting it in gear. Puling out of the yard he headed for Hazzard Grade School.

  10. "Yep," he sighed. "I'm not going to stop her though, atleast not yet.." His daughter was being extremely difficult when it came to living in Hazzard.

"Kids will be kids," Bo shook his head, "I wish she wouldn't give you a hard time though your just one man Luke and with her mama gone.."

"Thanks Bo. I'm handling my family the best I can.." he patted his son's shoulder as he stood over him. "If Uncle Jesse could raise us and Daisy I think I can raise Georgia, Keith, and Emma just fine."

Keith finished his breakfast and wiped his mouth, "I'm full."

"Go brush your teeth and comb your hair and then I'll drop you off at school." Luke put the dirty bowl in the sink.

"Mind watching Emma while I take him to school?" Luke asked Bo.

  11. Luke smiled, "Be open minded, Honey. Okay? I'm sure Hazzard High will interest you." He shrugged, "Is your brother up and ready?" Luke's other children were 8 and 3.

Before Georgia could answer a little boy came barrelling out of the kitchen, "Dad, I'm hungry."

"I"ll have your breakfast on the table.." Luke started in the kitchen knowing that Bo would follow. "Come and eat something Georgia."

Bo russelled Luke's son's hair, "Howdy Little Man, are you ready for school?"

The little boy sounded excited, "Yeah Uncle Bo, I can't wait for recess."

"When I was your age neither could I," Bo laughed and sat down in an empty chair.

Luke was scrapping some grits out of a pot on the stove filling up two bowls. Placing both bowls on the table he put a spoon and piece of toast with each serving.

    "You want something, Bo?"

  12. Luke grinned when he heard Bo, "Too old, huh? You've got a point." He was seriously considering this.

"Lucas I know you love racin' it's right up there with your kids," he winked.

"You've got that right," he had to admit it. "Alright..." he said after a few silent seconds. "We'll let the General have one last go...I mean it's only fair."

Bo grinned, "Yeeeeeehaw!. Luke this is gonna be like the old days..."

"Not exactly," a familiar grin settled on his face. "We might still be racin' but neither of us will be doing our usual girl chasin'."

Shaking his head Bo replied, "You got me there, Cuz." He understood that Luke might not be ready to date. (Assuming this is meant like your Rp..and Luke's wife died.)

Luke had a hint of sadness about him and sighed as Bo agreed with him, "I was always the sensable one.."

Bo laughed, "I guess. But, Luke just so you know Cassie told me if we were going to race again she'd come to the track..." That's all he said about it.

"What does that have to do with anything?" he asked a bit shakey.

"Lucas it's got everything to do with something, mainly you," Bo flashed a grin. "She never got married."

Luke took in everything that Bo had said but at the same time tried to ignore it. Hearing Georgia getting ready for school, "Georgia. Don't be late for school."

(I didn't know what ages Luke's other childeren were and I didn't want to make them up just in case you already had it planned out.)

  13. Luke thought about what she said, "Yeah I do have your Uncle Bo but, you've got to understand he'd got his own family now and I'm trying to raise my kids." He paused.

Just sitting here and talking to her was difficult for him especially because of the topic.

"You've got whoever you want, Honey, you just got to let 'em know." Being a dad was a challenge and Luke liked challenges. "If your not interested in your brother and sister, which I don't understand why you wouldn't be." He sighed, "They don't have to be exactly your age to have fun."

  14. "This is where I grew up. I love Hazzard and I thought maybe my children would love it too." Luke shook his head, "After spending your life in Atlanta I knew this transition wouldn't be easy but, I NEVER expected you to pull fool stunts like the one you did tonight."

There was plenty to do in Hazzard Bo and Luke had always ran the back roads with ease. Why couldn't Luke's own children enjoy good fun like that.

"Why do you got to go and rattle my nerves. This is hard for me to you know." For the first time Luke had somewhat opened up to his daughter.

  15. "Bored?!" his temper rose, "So for the past two weeks you've been nothing but BORED?" Luke stratched his chin and sat across from her. "Tell me Georgia can't you humor yourself legally without having to run Enos to death to bring your home?"

Luke knew that when he was her age and well on down the years he'd been a handful himself along with Bo. Thinking back on it now he wasn't sure how Uncle Jesse put up with it.

  16. Luke stared blankly at Georgia for a minute, "You spray painted the Boar's Nest?"

Enos still was his same goofy, lovable self. "That's what I said Luke. I thought that it'd be best if I just brought her home."

"Thanks Enos. Go into the living room Georgia," he spoke sternly.

"Don't mention it Luke. I'll leave you all be, goodnight." With that Enos tipped his hat and started away from the house to his car.

"Goodnight," Luke called out to Enos and quietly shut the door. Enquiring his best Jesse Duke disappointment face he joined his daughter in the living room. "Well what do you have to say for yourself?"

  17. Cassie had settled herself in the backseat of the General Lee and watched the three Duke cousins trade sass back and forth. "I'm sorry, ya'll."

Daisy smiled to assure her, "Don't apologize, Honey."

Bo was speeding away from the Boar's Nest trying to steer clear of conversation. He knew if they could just get back to the farm Uncle Jesse could work something out.

Luke turned around look at Cassidy, "So, Darlin', mind tellin' us why you were caught up in that back there?"

In a way she didn't really know how it started or where to begin her story. "We started dating when I was eighteen and I didn't know what he was..then he convinced me to live with him and that's when it started going downhill. He's involved with some kind of mafia. Harvey's been trafficking drugs, moonshine, and only the good lord knows what else he's done." Sighing she shook her head, "You guys shouldn't have taken me with you..he's a killer."

Bo had been listening to the whole conversation and now felt that he was entitled to input. "Well I think we've lost 'em for now and we could've never left you back there with somebody like that."

Daisy agreed and smiled, "That's right."

For a second Cassie thought they were crazy and managed to smile. "Thanks ya'll."

Luke returned her smile, "What are friends for?"

  18. "Welcome to Hazzard County. That there is Bo and Luke Duke."

The General Lee came roaring down a back country road. Bo sat proudly in the driver's seat and Luke road shot gun.

    "And they fight the system."

Bo handled the General Lee with ease as the took a curve pulling it into a slide. "Well Cousin, I'd say the General has never handled better."

Luke grinned, "I knew Cooter wouldn't let us down."

    "When has he ever?"

"Good point," Luke shifted in his seat to get more comfortable as they boys were headed for the Boar's Nest. It wasn't that much further up the road and then they'd both be quinching their thrist with a cold beer.

"What time is Daisy's shift over today?" Bo wondered whether they'd miss their cousin on their outing.

"I don't know she left while I was out in the barn."

"Your a lot of help you know," Bo teased him.

"Sorry to disappoint you, Cousin." Luke started to climb through the window as Bo pulled the General to a hault. "But I don't know everything."

Bo did the same as both boys got out of the car. "Could of fooled me."

They both had a laugh, "Next time some girl's daddy is gonna kill you. Don't come to me." He pushed open the door. Only to be greated by silence. The Boar's Nest wasn't bouncing with customers. Standing in the doorway Bo and Luke was greeted by two men with guns.

Daisy was tied up, "Bo, Luke!" she exclaimed.

As she spoke a man in a high dollar suit accompanied by an equally dressed up woman came out of Boss Hogg's office. "Ah more guests," the man spoke with great delight. "Please boys won't you sit down."

Bo and Luke looked at each other before deciding to obey. Heading towards the nearest table Luke caught a glimpse of the inside of Boss' office and saw that he and Rosco had also been tied up. Except, they'd been gagged unlike Daisy.

"I'm Harvey Conrad," leaving his girlfriend in the doorway he went to pull himself up a chair.

Bo narrowed his eyes but, couldn't be rude. "I'm Bo and this is my cousin Luke."

"Duke," he already knew who they were. "Cassidy please get these gentlemen something to drink."

Nodding she obeyed and quickly found herself behind the bar. "Beer?" she asked Bo and Luke.

Harvey had answered for them, "We're in a bar!" He had exploded for a second and quickly recomposed himself.

"Of course.." she had shuddered at his booming voice. Filing two glasses full of beer she carefully brought them over to the duo. Just as she sat the second glass down for a brief second she made eye contact with both boys who were staring at her. Almost in horror. They knew her just when she was a little girl, of course they called her Cassie back then but, it was surprising to see her with these kind of people. Eye contact was broken when Harvey grabbed her arm and pulled her in his lap.

"Now drink up," Harvey told them and continued with his business. "It's really too bad that innocent people like you all." With his hand he motioned towards Daisy too. "Have to be caught up in this little mishap I'm having with Mr. Hogg."
