  1. It has been 21 years since the 2005 movie was released. Like many here, I followed the production avidly in 2004-2005. At the time I was a freshman in college. Today I'm 40 years old. LOL I've always had mixed feelings about the movie. While it might have some entertainment value as a movie by itself, it isn't the movie that the Dukes fanbase had hoped for.

It's been discussed a lot on this forum. I too was looking forward to its release, but didn't get to see it immediately. By the time I did, I'd read the reviews. I have it on DVD to complete my collection, but I only paid €0.25 (about $0.29) for it and it hasn't been out of the box for a long time.

I'm afraid I can't help much. I'm not even sure if they were sold over here. I did find a 2012 article on the Dukes of Hazzard Collector blog where someone restored one of these pedal cars. As far as I can see, he just fixed the steering, cleaned it up and got someone to recreate the decals. There's no mention of a sound module. Maybe you can find someone selling a trashed car with a working module. I did find one seller on eBay asking $5,000 for a car "in working condition and in good shape for being 43 yrs old.". As far as I can tell, that's with fading decals and without a box! BTW. Had anyone at Coleco ever seen a '69 Dodge Charger? I understand that making an open pedal car isn't going to produce an exact replica, but the front looks more like a '69 Pontiac GTO, there's a spoiler on the trunk and the wheels are completely wrong. At least their 1984 KITT looks like a Trans Am.
