  1. Anybody else enjy running the jug? In the first DOH game for the origianl PS2, it included a two player game called run the jug. You could play it on two maps. After a lot of playing....we (myself and brother) decided that the best game was at the compound with each of us driving Dixie. The jeep was a much more nimble vehicle than the general (at least in the game) and it turned out to be perfect for the compound level. I suppose that's the only orginal PS game that I still play on my ps2. My brother and I just have a blast playing it. And the best is when your be chased by your opponent who is in hot pursuit....all the while the classic country/bluegrass music is going in the background just like on the show. The run the jug game mode was not as fun on the second DOH release so we just always played the first one. After a while we got to where we could do tricks.....such as jumping and landing on elevated buildings making it tough to get caught, So anybody else have any great jug running memories?
  2. Heres one..... OR maybe not so much as a blooper but it's something that I'm sure was not meant to be in the scene. Now maybe some of our human episode guides can figure out the episode I'm thinking of..... For some reason I think it was the episode where Bo and Luke returned from the Nascar circuit. Anyway, it had to do with a race care driver or builder that was hurt and put in the hospital. Turns out his assistant was tinkering with his engines and was gunning for him. As Luke and Bo figured things out they made a visit to the man in the hospital and of course his attractive daughter was there. While they were discussing it, Luke noticed someone listening at the door. So they spring into action and a foot chase begins. Now the blooper occurs as the Duke boys come busting out of the room. Luke trips and takes a nasty fall over a stretcher that was pushed infront of him. I'm almost postive that the fall was not scripted. Also, seeing how they always wore cowboy boots....which are slick as Boss's bald head....you'll notice lots of scenes where one of the boys slips and maybe falls during running/chase scenes.
  3. OK Guys, Growing up here in East Tennessee means that I got a good dose of country music from my folks as a kid. I also grew up on the Dukes and I was about 12 years old when it originally went off the air. Well a few years later, Tom And john had both gotten into music careers. I remember our local country station playing a lot of John's songs and I also remember one big hit that Tom had. However, for the life of me....I can't remember the name of the song or how it went. It was a pretty popular song and it seems like it was a catchy tune with good sing a long qualities. I'd imagine that it at least made top 40 for our local station (WIVK, award winning country) to play as much of it as they did. Anyway, I've searched the internet all over and come up empty handed. It seems that all of Tom's albumns that were released before 1990 or so are totally out of print. It also seems like nobody else in the country remembers the tune I'm talking about. I guess it came out sometime around 1987. I have discovered that Tom did release and albumn around that time....but I have been unable to locate a listing of the songs on that albumn, much less any of the lyrics to help jog my brain. So now, I've pestered my mom and all our friends trying to figure this out. I doubt it will become a life quest of mine to figure out the song, however, it is aggravating me to death because I know I'm not imagining things. Any of you fine Hazzardites remember what I'm talking about? Any help would be appreciated.
  4. thx for the replies and answers everybody. I just spotted another guest who later appeared as a regular on a TV series. The guy that played the principal on Saved By the Bell appears as a henchmen in the first episode of "Undercover Dukes". Not very famous or anything.....just someone who I knew I'd seen somewhere before.
  5. Thx for the replies folks. The episode Robert Stack was in will have to be described for you as I have no clue on the name. IF I'm not mistaken, Two bad dudes (stack included) are after a young lady.....who apparently is on the run from her wealthy father (henchmens employer). Turns out she want to marry a local yocal Hazzard farm boy and her father is not having it. For some reason it also seems that this was the episode where Daisy's car dove off the cliff. The wealthy father then gave Daisy Dixie as a gift at the wedding......which in the end he showed up to after seeing his ways were wrong. Man....oh how the memory fades over time.
  6. You're right, the humor that was brought to the show by the combination of Boss and Rosco could not be duplicated. The element of slapstick brought by Sorrell Booke and James Best is one of the elements of the Dukes of Hazzard that makes the show work, makes the show as enjoyable today as it was 20 years ago. Without Boss and Rosco, the show would have been a good show about a nice family with a cool car, but the added element of Boss and Rosco, as well as the way that the entire cast worked together in ensemble is what makes the Dukes of Hazzard a standout show - in my opinion. LS3 I absulutely agree with you all. James Best and Sorrell Booke were incredible together. In my life I met people as greedy and kiniving as Boss, and the way Sorrell plays him is incredible. Roscoe and Boss together in a scene meant great comedy and acting in my opinion. I know a lot of folks wouldn't look to the Dukes for great acting, but those two playing off each other was a masterpiece everytime.
  7. Hello folks, First off let me introduce my self. My screenname is Good_News_Good_News......but it's pronounced..... Gooooooooood kneeeews......Goooooooood Kneeeeeeeeeews! I'm a fly fishing guide here in east TN that was 7 when the Dukes originaly hit the air. I never missed an episode when I was a kid, and I've watched them every time thery've hit the air over the years. First reruns I remember airing were on WGN out of Chicago. Then TNT/Spike, and now CMT. These days, when I'm not on the water fishing or taking clients fishing, myself and my son of 10months love watching the Dukes. As you can probably tell, Roscoe is probably my favorite character. He and Boss Hogg were so funny, and if you ask me.....they were very talented actors (James and Sorrell that is). I also loved our heros with Bo being the favorite of course, and Daisy always on my mind. However, the laughs I get from Roscoe and his scenes with Boss......They just always tickle me. Like a scene with Bo and Luke dashing out of the courthouse making and escape, Bo goes flying over the hood of the general like a New York Yankee into second base, his slide so smooth, and he and Luke are off. Out of the courthouse comes Roscoe yelling "FFFFFRRREEEEEEEEEZZZE! He takes to the air to make his killer hood slide manuever, only to catch his foot on the fender.....and he goes flying over the hood head first an into the road and oncoming traffic! ROTFLMAO Man they are funny. However, James and Sorrell both actually brought tears to my eyes in several episodes, showing the loving hearts of both characters. When Roscoe had to tell Jesse that the boys had drown. Now that was sad and you could really feel the pain in Roscoes heart. Well blah blah blah, this is probably boring you all to death. Let me get on with my questions. 1. How many episodes did James Best not act in, and who played the replacement? I've seen a few and each of them have had different "guest" sherriff. 2. How many episodes was Huey Hogg in, and we're they in several close seasons or spaced out over the entire run? 3. Overall, how many episodes did Coy and Vance appear, and did they ever appear in any episodes with Bo and Luke ? 4. How many shows did Cooter sit out, due to contract blah blah? 5. Noteable guest appearance happend often with the celebrity speed trap, but how many other notable actors appeared as henchmen characters. I noticed Robert Stack in an episode, also Richard Mull (Bull from nightcourt) was a reacurring character as one of the Baudry's. I suppose that's enough for now. Gueeet Gueeet Gueeet......and I'm out!
