T.J.P.
I thought you might want to see what Hazzard Square looked like on "Falcon Crest" where Midwestern Street on the backlot of The Burbank Studios (now Warner Bros. Studios) portrayed Town Square in Tuscany, a fictional town in Northern California. Here are a few screen captures:In late November / early December 1982, Midwestern Street made its début in season 2 of "Falcon Crest" when all the characters wore period dresses to celebrate the Tuscany Valley Founders Day Parade. Town Square in Tuscany was decorated with lots of banners and other stuff, making it easy for the set dressers. They hardly redressed the stores from "Dukes". As you can see, even O'Connors Paint Supply is visible and the iconic "Mechanic on Duty" sign from your favorite show. The movie theater was dressed with a different prop sign turning it into the Tuscany Picture Palace (the only change was from Hazzard to Tuscany while the rest of the signage is the same). What is not really visible on these screen grabs is that the sign above "your" police station was exchanged as the building portrayed the Tuscany County Building through seasons 1 through 3 of "Falcon Crest". T.J.P.
The residential area of Midwestern Street (nowadays Midwest Street) was used many times on "Falcon Crest", too. Here are a few more screen captures from two 1989 episodes shot on Midwestern Street. As you can see, most of the buildings were redressed by then. The Picture Palace became a Coffee Shop, building 9 (numbering according to HozzC's numbering in the Hazzard Square thread http://www.hazzardnet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8221) had a signage "Fresh Daily" in the windows, building 10 had a "Rooms" sign now indicating it might have become an inn in the meantime. Roth Potter
Sorry, I meant the square. It is seen from the first floor of the courthouse in that movie. It was a hospital there though.
