November 12, 200619 yr I spent Veteran's Day at Calverton National Cemetary On Long Island. My dad is buried there. Then I watched The Great Escape on DVD last night.He was a vet of WWII and a prisoner in German POW camp at the end of the war. He was a tank commander in the 12th Armored Div. - 43rd Tank Bat. He was captured on the French / German line fighting on the Berlin in Jan 1945. He ended up a ta couple of different POW camps along the way. What I wouldn't give to have him back telling some of his stories again.Darrell
