  1. AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for all the great info on Season 2, but I don't know how in the world I'm gonna wait clear till January 25???!!!! Ya see, I've never had cable T.V.----I never grew up with it and now I just never bothered to get it because I don't watch alot of TV (I'm more of a DVD watcher). So when I lost my Dukes on regular TV, I never got to enjoy the beautiful site of the General jumping over or through something till the DVD release! I NEED MY SEASON 2!!!!!
  2. I listen to all kinds of music
  3. Sorry I've been missing for a little while---I was trying to take advantage of the last few nice days we had left before winter and I also completely redid my computer. But I'm back now and I missed y'all!!! So my very first message I read was yours, Pendragon! I was very moved and I thank you for trusting us to share your story. It just might help someone else who is feeling hopeless realize that you can get your "passion" back for life. I really respect your long, hard journey and I promise to raise a glass to you this Halloween---To Pendragon and the life she fought for---a battle I'm so glad you won!!!
  4. Hi Y'all!! I second that "I am glad to be back here!" I just found this great site and I was shocked that (to quote Capt_Redneck again) “some idiot†ruined it!! How in the heck did they do that?? And did they really get satisfaction from it?? What a pathetic, boring life some little child has when all they could think of to do was to wreck a nice forum. Hey buddy, GET A LIFE . Ok...time for my apologies for gettin mad too ! I've found this forum to be warm, inviting, and full of really down home good people! I'm thankful to have the pleasure of chattin to y'all!!
  5. Wow!! Thanks so much for adding this to your forums!!! I REALLY appreciate it!!! Y’all are AWESOME!!!! I’ll try not to post too many questions, but here’s my first one that has been plaguing me….in fact it was this question I was researching on the internet when I found this site. I have two original 1981 1/64 scale Ertl General Lees Mint on Card, but both are different and I was wondering what was up with them? The first one has door handles cast right on the car, the “01†stickers have a clear background, on the bottom of the card on the front under the car it reads “#1581 cWarner Bros. Inc. 1981â€, and the back of the card is the same as the other one except it says it was made in Taiwan (the underside of the General also says Taiwan). The second car has no door handles, the “01†stickers have an orange background, on the bottom of the card on the front under the car it reads “#1581 TM indicates Trademark of Warner Bros., Inc. c1981â€, the card itself is a darker orange in color, and the back it says it was manufactured in the USA (the underside of the General also says USA). I’ve come up with a possible theory that maybe the cars were actually made in different years even though both cars say 1981and if so---which one is the older of the two? Or…did Ertl have such a high demand that they had to have another place manufacture them? And is one more desirable than the other? My personal favorite from my youth was my stuff Flash the dog!!! In fact he is sitting right by the computer as I type!!!! Flash joined me on many adventures and amazingly he is in almost mint condition! I was one of those strange kids that actually looked after their toys….which I am very grateful for now. I think my second favorite is my General Lee Wrist Racer……still works great, but I’m afraid to use it now! Now I’m on a serious quest for Dukes memorabilia and boy I’m I having a fun time doing it!!!!! P.S. Thanks again for this forum!!!
  6. Cool!! Thanks for looking into Avatars for us!! But what pic would I use??? One quick question.....I looked around on the forums, but I couldn't find a spot devoted to questions/comments about Dukes of Hazzard Memorabilia? I've had things from when I was little, but I've started to become a serious collector and I think it would be awesome to have a place devoted to those types of questions on the forum. Just a thought !
  7. I couldn't agree with ya more MaryAnne!!! It does run like hell, but did they have to make it look like hell too??? I was so excited to hear that Pontiac was bring back the GTO, but when I saw the finished product---I wish they never tried. The GTO name plate puts a certain image in mind and Pontiac didn't live up to it (well they did with the "varoom varroom" part....LOL ) One thing ya must know about me....I love the classic muscle cars and I just can't get into the new cars of today no matter how hard I try, so I don't mean to offend any "new" car lovers out there. P.S. Thanks for answering my question, Stormy!! And for posting the pictures. If I ever win the Lottery, I'll send ya a 1967 GTO!! You know the other day I heard a report on TV saying how so many classic cars where being stolen and shipped overseas for a premium price. I didn't realize it was so hard to access these cars over there!! They said the biggest country that they were being shipped to was Japan!!!
  8. Hey Stormy!! Welcome from one "Newbie" to another!!! We've gotta stick together ya know ! AWESOME car!!!! I'd really like to know what kind of cars are popular over there in good ol' Britian? Personally, I'm a Pontiac nut. Are the 60's Pontiac GTO, Tempest, or Lemans popular at all? I think it's really cool to meet someone from overseas to hear their point of views and see what things are like somewhere else! Sadly I've only been to Canada, but I have a secret desire to go to Ireland....opps...guess it's no secret anymore... :lol
  9. Hi Chet! I'd be more than happy to share my secret with ya!! First I go to this site: http://www.imageshack.us/index.php This is the ImageShack site which is a free internet service like some of the site services like Tripod, Anglefire, etc. You will see a box in the middle of the screen with a "Browse" button. When you click the Browse button you can pick a picture from your files/photos. Make sure they are jpeg, jpg, png, gif, or swf. If they aren't, just open up your "Paint" program, go to "File", pick your picture, go back to "File", go to "Save As," and underneath where you pick file name you'll see "Save as Type," and use the drop down box to pick "JPEG". After you get you pick your picture using the "Browse" botton on the ImageShack site just click on "Host It" and you will get several different links to use for your picture. Just copy and paste the first URL which is listed as "Hotlink your image on forums and message boards" on your message in the Hazzard Forum. It will look like something like this: but without the space after the I was on a car site and that was how we shared pictures of our cars with each other. http://img11.exs.cx/img11/2503/GeneralLee.jpg' alt='GeneralLee.jpg'>
  10. Well I'm another newbie to join y'all! I came about this site rather by accident and I'm sure glad I did. I was originally trying to find out why my two 1981 General Lee Ertl 1/64 cars where different (made in different countries, molded different, different 01 stickers, and they are not the 1997 release they are original 81s), but stumbled onto you folks! I have this question that has been buggin me like the devil! I'd like to sorry ahead of time if this has already been discussed but here it goes......I got my DVD Season 1 and have watched it about 10 Million or so times , but I was sure was surprised to see that just about everyone still alive was at the 20th Anniversary Hazzard County Barbecue except Tom Wopat??!!! When the cast chatted bout the good ol days no one even mentioned anything involving him or him for that matter. I'm probably the last to know, but what happened??? I hope there's no "bad blood." Glad to meet ya!
