"Oh Daisy...of course we will. Lizzy will be thrilled to know you and Enos think so much of her. You can't tell her I told you just yet, she's gonna ask you soon enough but she wants you and Julie to be her matrons of honor. And she was thinking about having Vidalia be her flower girl." Luke says. Cue anyone. -
Tom walks into Lizzy room looking at the floor. Lizzy looks at Cooter and Bonnie who both nod and leave the room. Tom pulls up a chair and still looks at the floor. "Can you ever forgive me?" He asks softly. "Forgive you for what?" Lizzy asks pushing herself up to recline on her bed against her pillows. "For not telling you I was getting married. I know you wanted me to wait and see if the kid was really mine before I did anything like this but...even if they aren't mine I'll treat them like they are. That's why God made me." Lizzy smiles at the song referance but knows that he may have a point. "Honestly Tom..." "I love her, more than I loved Beth, almost as much as I love you and just about as much as I love Danny. You told me to move on, you said that Danny wants a new step-mom and that it was only right after everything that Beth put me through. I love her, can you honestly say you're angry with me?" Tom asks. Lizzy looks at her lap and sighs. "Lizzy...Are you scared?" Tom asks. Lizzy nods. "Why?" Lizzy shrugs. "Marriage is a scary thing and I kinda get it." He pauses and really looks at Lizzy. When she looks up at him he lays down next to her. "Baby you ain't gonna lose me. I love you as much as I can and I will always be with you. I'm not going anywhere, shifting a few priorities but not going anywhere I promise. I will always be here for you. It's not gonna be like it was with Beth I promise you I will always be in contact with you. I swear it on Diablo's grave, I will always be in contact." Lizzy looks down and for a second didn't believe him. Then she remembers who she's talking to him and his promising words. "Thank you so much." Lizzy says curling up bed next to her best friend. "Anything, for you." Tom whispers rubbing her back. Cue anyone.

"Of course he will be. He'll be raised by an amazing mom and a great dad, both David and Lydia will be." Luke says. Cue anyone.

"I don't know either. They'll be ok though." Luke says. Cue anyone.

"Lizzy's fine, she's up and ok. Matt's going through surgery, for a damaged lung. You listen to me Daisy, if he even comes near you to take those kids, you give me and Bo a call. We'll make sure he can't have them. Rosco's been warned about Cory and Hughie so I doubt they'd do anything." Luke says. Cue anyone.

Luke leaves Lizzy's room as Tom comes in and goes to visit Daisy. "Hey Daisy, how are ya feelin?" Luke asks. Cue anyone.

"I think Angel says she was awake. Why don't you go talk to Angel and I'll go find out what I can about Lizzy." He kisses Salena on top of the head and walks back into Lizzy's room. "My son." Lizzy says. "He'll be fine. They're taking him into surgery." Luke says. Then a voice only Lizzy can hear says, "Oh and Mom, forgive Tom he didn't mean to hurt you." Lizzy smirks and shakes her head. "Where's Tom?" Lizzy asks. Cue anyone.

"Who was right?" Luke asks. "Your fiancee. She told us he was suffering from a damaged lung, how she knew that I do not know but we need your signature. With out it he will most likely die." The first doctor says. Luke picks up a pen and looks at the two doctors. "Where do I sign?" He asks. The doctor points him through all the necessary paperwork and then leads Luke and Salena back downstairs. "We'll let you know how it turns out. In the mean time go see Lizzy." The doctor says. Cue anyone.

Bonnie lets a doctor know and they look in on it. Luke grabs a doctor by the arm as the nurse wheels the boy out of the nursury. "Where are they taking my son?" "Luke Duke." "Where are they taking my son?" "For more testing. It has come to our attention that we may be missing something." The doctor guides him and Salena to an office and explains what he's been told. Towards the end another doctor comes in. "She was right. We have to take him into surgery." This doctor says. "Mr. Duke we need a signature." The first doctor says. Cue anyone.

"My baby, he's got a damaged lung. He needs surgery. Get a doctor please." Lizzy says still gasping for air. Cue anyone.

Cooter's jaw drops in shock waiting for Lizzy to say something, to say anything. Unfortunately all she did was whimper and squirm a bit. Meanwhile off in another realm Lizzy looks around to see herself sitting in a rocking chair with a five year old Matt on her lap. "Am I gonna have to tell you all this again little girl because you're starting to irritate me." Cindy says crossing her arms over her chest and leaning against a crib. "Tell me what?" Lizzy asks. "That you're a very irritating little girl and you need to wake up." "What about Mattie?" "What about me mommy?" The boy asks. "I heard you're fighting just like I am." "I wouldn't call what you're doing fighting." Cindy says. "I'd call it worrying the heck out of your entire family. You hear what Bonnie said about the Charger?" "I know but that's just to try to get me irritated so I wake up." Lizzy says. "Mommy...I love you." "I love you too baby. What happened?" "I don't know...It just hurts so much to breathe." "He's suffering from a damaged lung. The docs have to take him into surgery to save his life but Luke won't find this out until you wake up and tell them. You on the other hand are too stressed out. Let Mike take care of Jack and your father will worry about Ashley you concentrate on your son. Ashley would tell you the same." Lizzy looks past Cindy and into the crib. "That's your little girl." Lizzy raises an eyebrow and Molly comes skipping into the room her blonde hair in pigtails. "Your little girl, not mine." "Four years difference?" "Two years. The middle one is with Luke." "He's still alive." "Of course he is, you two were meant to grow old together." "How can we if I'm..." "I know you're worried Mom." Lizzy looks away to the door and sees a man standing there that she doesn't recognize. "You don't recognize me?" The man looks down and sighs. "Of course you wouldn't. This is what I would have looked like. I'm so proud of you. You've changed so much from when you were with Dad but...deep down you're the woman you've always been with Cindy and Julie, and the woman I know Luke will make you be. He would have made an amazing step-dad and he'll be a wonderful father to all of your children. Fight for him, for me, for us." He says motioning at the babies in the room. "Give them the chance I didn't have. I love you with all my heart. I'm better off and so are you. So go back to them. Don't ever forget me but don't live in the past. Give that Mustang a hell of a race, and...when he tells you, be happy for him. They both love you and they don't want to hurt you." "I love you too Chris..." Lizzy says as the scene fades to black. Suddenly Lizzy wakes up gasping for air. Bonnie and Cooter both gather around her waiting for her to say something. "My baby." Cue anyone.

Cooter watches but after two minutes of no movement he sighs. "You said Lizzy was a stubborn one." Cooter says. Cue anyone.

"I'm sure Lizzy would challenge you to a race one day." Cooter says pulling Bonnie into his lap. Cue anyone.

and just as a reminder Molly is Lizzy's adopted goddaughter, not her biological daughter.

Everyone waits with baited breath for Lizzy to snap back but she just continues to lay there. "Luke didn't I just tell you to get your butt upstairs?" Cooter asks. Luke looks at his soon to be father in law and sighs before standing, kissing Lizzy on the forehead then going up to see his son. "This is probably the hardest thing he's ever had to do." Cue anyone.

She looks around the room but still feels dizzy and her eyes slide shut again. "So close." Luke sighs. "Lukas K. Duke, if Lizzy found out you were sitting here whimpering like a newborn pup, as much as she appreciate the notion, she'd whip your little tail and tell you to get your but up to the NICU and take care of your son. Go on I'll take care of her." Cooter says. "And by the way Bonnie, Lizzy's not too keen on someone using her full name, just call her Lizzy." Cue anyone.

Cooter laughs as Luke raises his head. "You know she'd fight you on that. She'd probably say something like, they were accusing me of something they had no proof that I ever did and they harassed me how can you expect me not to give them a hard time." Cooter shakes his head smiling. Cue anyone.

Luke lift his hand looking at her hopefully but she just whimpers and then goes limp. Luke lays his head on her chest hearing the softly thudding heart and knowing it's his only link. Cooter comes in a bit later and sighs taking a seat next to Lizzy. Cue anyone.

"I wish there was something I could do." Luke whispers to Lizzy but she lays unresponsive. Cue anyone.

Luke looks up and sighs. "I don't mind your company and all cousin but...Do you think you could possibly leave? I don't mean to be rude or anything I'd just rather be alone with her right now." Luke says. Cue anyone.

"I think Tom does, he'd have to to break a promise he made Lizzy." Luke says. Cue anyone.

"Thank you...I sure hope they both pull through." Luke says softly. Cue anyone.

Luke nods and turns his gaze back to Lizzy rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb. Cue anyone.
