"Julie, Uncle Jesse was in on Lizzy's entire operation from the day she started to trust him. She admitted that she had used you after you left. He wasn't too happy about it but...He let it slide eventually." Bo said. "The ATF wasn't on to us until about five years ago. They started sniffing around about the time someone cut our supply to Hatchapee county. We found out that our shipments weren't going through and found out someone had been diverting them back to Hazzard county. We could never prove who it was though. When we brought more protection for those shipments we started noticing we were being followed. Questions were asked and we found out the ATF was on to us a bit. So we started scaling back. The heat died down and we went back to business as usual until...She got caught making a delivery to Chickasaw county. ATF busted one of her solo runs. Sheriff Little wasn't too happy about it and neither was Boss Tate but...There was nothing they could do." Tom explains.
Bo sighs heavily and as mad as he is at her Bo decides she needs to know the truth. "That third box was a box of shine. Lizzy told Enos that two weeks before she got arrested. He knew what she had been doing but...Boss Hogg was too ingrossed in the profits he was getting from her shine to make Rosco or Enos stop her. I believe he told them if they touched her they'd lose their jobs or something to that effect." Bo says. "She never wanted to involve you Julie, Red trusted you too much. That and she knew if a Duke was involved it would revoke Bo's probation. She would much rather it be her that is sitting in prison than him. It's not that she thinks she's tougher or anything it's just that..." Tom trails off. "It's easier for her." Bo finishes.
"I don't think they think you had anything to do with it." Bo answers. "Like I said the townspeople are the ones who think that." Luke says. "You may want to talk to Matt Shark. He handled her case in the first place."
"I get it...Do you think maybe in the future sometime...If it does prove nearly impossible for me to have kids...will you consider being a surrogate mom for me?" Lizzy asks. Cue anyone.
Enos gets Daisy into the cruiser just as Tom pulls into the drive and soon they all end up at the hospital waiting for Daisy to have her third child. Cue anyone.
Luke explains that to Micheal who sighs. "I don't know maybe, I doubt she can get Lizzy off but maybe, just maybe she can wrangle Lizzy a probationary sentence." Micheal says. Luke explains what Micheal says and waits.
Luke explains things to Micheal who is severely confused. "I was in Maine four years ago. I had no idea Lizzy was still running Shine even if I did I wouldn't have called someone on her." Micheal says. "He claims he didn't do it. Said he was in Maine at the time." Luke tells Julie.
"You leave now and leave your best friend in jail people in this town will think you had something to do with that and Bo will never forgive you. You got your degree so you could help the people of this town out and now that you've got this chance you ain't gonna take it? That ain't the girl I remembered. Lizzy bent over backwards some times to help you out and now that you have a chance to help her what do you do?" Luke asks. Cue anyone.
"I don't know Julie. Listen...a lot of people in town...they blame you for what happened to Lizzy. They say that the two of you were best friends and when she needed you the most you left her hanging. Most of the women folk in town feel bad for Austin. He has to grow up without his mom. He doesn't really understand what's going on but he knows he can't see his mom for a really long time." Luke says.
