  1. Hehehehehe. He's a Duke. I'm sure Austin will have no trouble finding love...they're just talented like that.
  2. I didn't want to upset the flow of the story so I'm posting here. Poor Austin. *gives him a hug* I feel so bad for him and I'm about to cry.
  3. Madison is a girl...yes. Sorry about that. Ummm...a little of both. If people want to work on developing specific characters than it might play out a little rpgish for a while but I'm not opposed to people writing large chunks of the story. It's however it plays out. And of course you can jump in.
  4. "Do you know what that's like!"Georgia had pushed back the chair to the table and was standing. "Do you have any idea what it feels like to have your only identity be that of Luke Duke's daughter? There is nothing for me in Hazzard! Nothing!"
  5. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Ginny headed back to the farm to grab the car. She'd make it to town in no time. She only hoped Bo and Madison would be easy enough to find once she was there. A frown crossed her face as she sped down the dirt road leading into Hazzard. They had blown stills before...why was this one different? Why was Jesse so worked up? Part of her wanted to say it was just Jesse being Jesse. When their Daddy had died ten years ago, Jesse had become the man of the house. And when their Mama had followed six years later, Jesse had become head of the family...something he took very seriously. ******** Arriving in town, Ginny stopped the car in front of the hardware store and jumped out. "Bo! Madison!" She headed inside. "Jesse says to come home right away...."
  6. "Lukas, please..." His mother-in-law frowned at his language. Still, she understood his anger. It was never a good thing when your child ran away. She put more coffee on to brew. "I was thinking that I'd rather be here! You knew that! You KNEW I hated Hazzard! I don't want to live there!"
  7. "Inside. She just got here." In truth, Edward wasn't surprised. When he saw Georgia show up, he knew Luke had to be close behind. "I think my wife has her in the kitchen feeding her. You know how she is..." He opened the door and ushered them inside. With a smile he nodded to Cassie. He wanted to let her know that he had seen her but that this was not the time for nicities.
  8. Bo nodded. He hated seeing Luke so angry and normally he would have tried to calm his cousin down, but a part of him felt like Luke needed to be angry. He and Georgia needed to fight -- once and for all they needed to get it out. Slowing down a tiny bit, he decided to let Georgia get to Atlanta. It was the best thing...he was sure of it. **** So an hour and a long silence later, the General stopped in front of one of the most beautiful homes Bo had ever seen. An older man was sitting on the front porch, smoking a cigar. Edward. Abigail's father. Seeing the orange car, he came down off the porch and towards Luke. "Lukas..."
  9. Please do! I'd love to see where these characters go and I love meeting new ones. *is excited* So yes! Yes! Add on...develop characters...have fun!
  10. "Really? Cause if you know how, I'd love to hear it..." Luke was just about at the end of his patience. When he got a hold of Georgia, he was going to wring her neck. Bo frowned and concentrated on driving. They didn't even know what kind of car they were looking for other than it was a truck and it had left the Boar's Nest five minutes ago. "Uhhh...Luke...just in case we don't catch up...which I'm sure we will...do you want to call Abby's parents and warn them Georgia might be showing up."
  11. All right, I have instituted this post not only as a place for you to provide feedback but also as a place to write down pieces of information that are sure to be lost or forgotten otherwise... As I said this story takes place 30 years before the start of the series.... Jesse L Duke is 30 years old and already the head of the family, running the farm, handling the shine business, and taking care of his siblings. JD Hogg has yet to become County Comissioner and is still running shine himself. He is probably still on friendly terms with the Dukes. And Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane is a deputy...and honest. What a change... So basically, anything can happen with this story. And I think it will be a lot of fun...so everyone jump in... But first, the Duke "Gang". Below you will find their names and ages and other relevant info. The only one I've really developed is Virginia...other than that they are all still lumps of clay to be formed. And yes, Luke's sister Virginia is named after her aunt, Virginia. **** Jesse L Duke - 30 Samuel Tyler Duke - 27 Madison Rose Duke - 26 Matthew Jacob Duke - 24 Daniel Joseph Duke (Daisy's Dad) - 22 Beauregard "Bo" James Duke (Luke's Dad) - 20 Austin Hunter Duke (Bo's Dad) - 19 Virginia Duke - 16
  12. "Because," Bo looked at Luke like he was a moron. "She's not happy and she's testing you. She wants to see what you will do or if you will let her go."
  13. Now if anything, word spread fast in Hazzard. Most people knew who Georgia was and knew there was a good chance she was not supposed to be with some boy none of them had ever seen before. So within minutes, there were calls out on the Hazzard Net looking for Bo or Luke. Cooter grabbed the radio, looking at Bo. "This is Crazy Cooter. I got Bo Duke here with me. What's on your mind?" "Tell Bo to grab his cousin and head for the Boar's Nest...we got some trouble. Luke's daughter is gone....headed for Atlanta." "Dang! Thanks, Boys." Bo hung up and slipped in the General, headed for the diner. They didn't have time to waste.... *** Luke looked at Cassie, head tilted. 'How's that?"
  14. "Whose car is this?" Bo looked over Cooter's shoulder. "It's got a nice set-up...." *** "It's nothing, Cass. Really. I just...I haven't felt much like talking lately. There's nothing to talk about. 'Cept maybe how to keep a handle on a sixteen year old." *** "You really are a godsend...you know that?"
  15. Bo resisted the urge to do a happy dance. His plan was working. Paying for the microwave, he loaded it into the car before going to see Cooter. *** Luke followed Cassie out of the store and over to the diner. It didn't take him long to notice Bo was absent. Shaking his head, he slid into a both beside her. *** "Right now." Georgia looked up. "I could leave this very second."
  16. (Okay...so I really need to stop being inspired. Like really. Or maybe not. This story takes place circa 1949 when Jesse is about 30 -- and already head of the clan. For more information see the notes/feedback thread) ***** "Jesse! Jesse!" Virginia Duke made record time as she ran through the woods and to the Duke Farm. She had been out at Still Site 2 helping a few of her brothers when.... Well, that didn't matter. What mattered was she needed to find her brother and she needed to find him now. "Jesse!" Letting the door slam shut behind her, she entered the house. Normally Ginny would have enough sense (or fear of her sister) to take off her muddy shoes before traipsing across the floors. However, she wasn't really thinking about that now. Besides...her whole person was covered in mud and soot and...shine? Taking off her shoes wouldn't matter. Dammit! Ginny swore mentally as she discovered Jesse wasn't in the house. Going out the back door, she headed for the barn. And there she found him. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she continued. "Jesse...the still blew! We're all okay...for the most part....I mean we're a little scratched up, Austin especially, but....the still....you need to come look."
  17. "Because...you're Cassie. He's heard me talk at him enough...and besides...your probably better suited towards this than I am. Just...come on...please? For me?" **** "Family. My mom's parents." She looked at him. "I'd really appreciate it."
  18. "See if you can talk to Luke. I'm worried about him. He needs someone to talk to, Cass. And for some reason he isn't talking to me." Bo frowned. *** "Did you say Atlanta?" Georgia perked up. "You wouldn't want company on that ride, would you?"
  19. "Then that's the one we'll get." He grabbed the box and grinned. "Now all we have to do is find Luke." Bo shook his head. "I'm worried about him, Cass. Think you're up to doing me a favor?" *** "Georgia Lynn." She left off the Duke. It tended to scare people off. "What brings you to Hazzard, Mr. Wallace?"
  20. Bo inwardly growled. *He* was supposed to be the one disappearing. "Blue, I think...or yellow. I don't know. You've been in it." Why was he asking her difficult questions? **** "Waiting for inspiration to strike." Georgia grinned. "Are you inspiration?"
  21. "You are a goddess, Cass, an absolute goddess." Bo grinned and led them in the direction of the hardware store. He wondered if he shouldn't duck out and leave Luke and Cassie alone. Cassie could turn out to be just what Luke needed. Bo was sure of that. *** "Thanks." Georgia grinned, taking a sip. Well there was at least one upside to living in Hazzard...people were accomodating. Even at 10 in the morning.
  22. "Right. Microwave." Bo turned to Cassie. "Know anything about microwaves? All I know is that you press a button and food comes out. I'm not sure that qualifies me to pick one out, though." *** "Something strong." She wasn't picky.
  23. "I'll make the call..." Bo headed into the garage and picked up Cooter's phone, calling Jill. After a brief explination, he hung up. "She's gonna head right over." *** Entering the Boar's Nest, Georgia took a seat in the back. She needed a plan. Sitting here all day wasn't going to do her any good.
