Hey, just wondering how it's coming, and if you liked what I had written. If you haven't read it all yet, try to finish chapter 8 before moving on to read 9 and 10. I can change any discrepancies which occur.

The next couple of chapters are probably more dependent on you I think. If you like, we can write them in a messenger window together. It might be easier.

I did write another chapter today, but we are no where near being able to fit it in. It's several chapters too early... but it's not really dependent on the previous chapters. It's more a cutesy Cooter/Hilery moment which turned out to be ten pages long... and I can't break it up into shorter chapters. Go figure, right? The chapter I wrote today also deals with who Ruth is.

Oh and I am almost forgetting to mention, it's a tear jerker chapter. I'll send it to you later, after we're closer to using it.

Hoss you're not going to. Believe it, but my poor computer crashed... and not because of the virus. Of all things which could have killed it... it was the windows update!! I mean... wtf. I have a spare running 98 which I am in the process of upgrading but it is going to take all night. I have to because of my wireless card.

Hoss, I am such an idiot. I got the disk today and it turned out it was microsoft office xp pro, not microsoft XP Professional... but that isn't why I'm an idiot. I have two video cards installed into the computer. Well, shoulda known the one was going bad because of the way it was acting, and then i checked the other one which wouldn't work... so I decided to switch the hard drives in my computers to see if that helped any... and OMG... i discovered the second video card was just loose... but i still need to find an XP disk for that virus... but I am back up and running at least for now.

Hoss, the update killed it so bad it isn't communicating with the monitor or keyboard.

The backup computer is a desktop, possibly with a Pentium I processor. I would try to get another hard drive, but I am positively broke. I am poorer than the dukes after the mortgage was paid. It is all I can do to pay for my medication. It would be different if I had my disability, but I don't have it yet. I am trying to get my rescue disk back from my friend, but I don't know if that will work if it isn't communicating with the monitor. I may have to give it to my friend to fix it, or his dad.

Did I mention I hate windows but Mac is too expensive.... and I have difficulties using it because I was never taught how.... because I was only taught windows.

I have other good hard drives, but the problem is they are all for laptops.

How are ya on staying awake this evening? Want to hit the Chat room? I'm still wound up from music lessons tonight.

I'm sorry MaryAnne, I've just been in a teasing mood lately. I don't mean any harm by any of it.

If you want, I can send over a few chapters to see what you think. Should be fairly easy to edit. I try not to edit my own stuff too much because I am sometimes biased. I have done some light editing on what K-Duke had added though (but sometimes I miss some things or just don't know what to do with it). Spell check has been run so you don't need to worry about that.

It is good to know you did so good in sight reading. I can sight read some myself.

Sounds like it's time to buy a new white shirt. If I were you, I'd keep it washed and hung up in the closet and not wear it for anything else. That's what I do with my white pants;used to keep them in the dresser drawer until my cat peed on them; I wanted to kill her that day, just glad i had a pair of backup pants. It really sounds like that shirt is starting to get too small, and you really need to take into account the seasons when buying stuff like that. Believe me, I learned real fast to have a pair of pants for winter and a pair for summer, and it's strange that you can't wear a skirt. Usually they allow a skirt. I would invest in a thin pair of black dress pants too. and make sure they fit loosely in the legs. Tight clothing can make you hotter. Believe me, I've been doing concerts and music longer than you've been alive. If guys are wearing ties, shouldn't the girls be wearing formal scarves?

It upgraded okay, then when I was installing my drivers it froze so I had to do a hard reboot.. and now won't operate outside safe mode. Trying to fix the error but it isn't working. Been trying to all day just about.
