Daisy is trying to earn some extra money for a correspondence school's modeling course, so she's moonlighting as a reporter at the ''Hazzard Gazette''. After failing to impress Mr. Amos with her stories of laryngitis and a five-yolk egg, he sends her to cover the recent spate of tractor thefts.
After a meeting about the tractor thefts at [[The Boar's Nest|the Boar's Nest]], the Dukes decide that Boss is probably behind the operation. Jesse suggests that Bo and Luke should hire themselves out to farms which hadn't had their tractors stolen, and it isn't long before they spot the truck which had run them off the road earlier. After a short pursuit in a borrowed pickup, they find the truck stopped on a hill, and tractor coming up from behind. They only just manage to jump free in time before the pickup is tipped down the hill. Back in town, Bo, Luke and Jesse try to report what's happened, but Boss tries to put the blame on them.
Boss decides to try and frame the Dukes, so he leaves the truck and one of the tractors at [[The Duke Farm|the Duke Farm]], and gets one of the thieves to phone Jesse to give him a warning about it. Jesse tells Bo and Luke to move it, but they don't realize that Cletus is watching the farm. Another phony call about a new theft is then made to Rosco, knowing that Daisy will overhear and follow with her camera. Along with Mr. Amos, Daisy joins the chase, and, not knowing who's driving the truck, fires an arrow into its tire. She gets quite a surprise when she sees that the suspected tractor thieves are Bo and Luke.
At the ''Hazzard Gazette'', Mr. Amos promises Daisy and Jesse that he won't publish the incriminating photos if they can prove Bo and Luke's innocence within eight hours. Luke then hatches a plan to flush out the thieves and get Daisy to photograph them with Boss.

Plot Summary

Daisy is trying to earn some extra money for a correspondence school's modeling course, so she's moonlighting as a reporter at the Hazzard Gazette. After failing to impress Mr. Amos with her stories of laryngitis and a five-yolk egg, he sends her to cover the recent spate of tractor thefts.

After a meeting about the tractor thefts at the Boar's Nest, the Dukes decide that Boss is probably behind the operation.

Boss decides to try and frame the Dukes, so he leaves the truck and one of the tractors at the Duke Farm, and gets one of the thieves to phone Jesse to give him a warning about it.

At the Hazzard Gazette, Mr. Amos promises Daisy and Jesse that he won't publish the incriminating photos if they can prove Bo and Luke's innocence within eight hours. Luke then hatches a plan to flush out the thieves and get Daisy to photograph them with Boss.
