Plot Summary
When the boss, Cassius Claibourne, in neighboring Osage county decides he wants to take over Boss Hogg's holdings, he arrests the Dukes and holds them on a chain gang as leverage. When Boss and Rosco attempt to negotiate to free them, they are arrested as well. The Dukes and Boss and Rosco have to work together to escape and foil Cassius Claibourne's plans.
Commentary
Trivia

- The episode's title is a reference to the 1967 movie Cool Hand Luke, in which Morgan Woodward (Cassius Claibourne) played Boss Godfrey. Morgan Woodward previously appeared as Dempsey in Mason Dixon's Girls.
- James Avery (Charlie) is probably best known for playing Philip Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He was also the voice of Shredder in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series.
- Brion James (Captain Slater) previously appeared as Jenkins in Big Daddy.
