  1. I am on the lookout for original Dukes of Hazzard episode scripts. The information I really need is the draft stage (first, second, third, final, etc.) and the draft dates for each script. This information can usually be found on the first two pages of the script. If anyone has authentic Dukes scripts laying around, I would sure appreciate your help. I would settle for photocopies of the first couple pages of each script, as long as they have the information I need on them. I would even be willing to pay for the photocopies (within reason). I would prefer final drafts, but earlier drafts are perfectly acceptable. Here are the episodes I need script information for: 166862 - Daisy's Song 166871 - Luke's Love Story 166872 - Swamp Molly 166873 - The Big Heist 166877 - Money to Burn 166962 - Road Pirates 166963 - Find Loretta Lynn 166964 - Days of Shine and Roses 166966 - Hazzard Connection 166967 - Uncle Boss 166968 - The Rustlers 166969 - The Ghost of General Lee 167121 - Baa, Baa White Sheep 167122 - Enos Strate to the Top 167123 - Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane 167124 - The Late J.D. 2. Where might I be able to find out the shooting dates for all 145 episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard? I'm interested in knowing when they were actually filmed as opposed to the order in which they aired on TV. I know this information has to be available somewhere, but the Internet has turned up nothing for me so far. Apparently the author of the book The Knight Rider Companion was able to find out this information for the entire series of Knight Rider. He even has the first and last script draft dates for each episode as well. Come on, guys, I can't believe Knight Rider is still competing with us after all these years! LOL If anyone at all can help me with this, I will be extremely grateful. I think at one time there was an official Warner Brothers episode guide for Dukes floating around on eBay, which I imagine contained more detailed production information beyond what a typical episode guide would deliver, but I was not able to see what the inside of this episode guide looked like so I couldn't be sure. If anyone happens to have this information in their possession, I'd be happy to pay for copies of it. I'm just trying to expand my already swelled knowledge of our favorite show, because I always say, you can never learn too much about ANYTHING, especially The Dukes of Hazzard Can you help a fellow Dukes afficionado out?
  3. Hey, gang. Don't know if anyone else has noticed this but me, but in the original trailer for the 2005 Dukes movie (the one that starts with a countdown: 05...04...03...02...01), the "Yeee-Haa" yell heard as we see the General flying through the air doesn't appear to be made by Johnny Knoxville or Seann William Scott. It doesn't match with the way their yells sound in the finished movie, and it DEFINITELY doesn't match the yells used for the exact same shot at the beginning of the movie (where the General is freeze framed in mid air and the titles are superimposed over the car). In fact, the "Yeee-Haa" is barely audible in the finished product compared to the trailer. Personally, I like the yell they used in the trailer better than what they used in the movie. Wonder if someone else in the cast or crew dubbed the "Yeee-Haa" for the trailer? Wish they would have just used the same person and over-dubbed Knoxville and Scott. Their yells sounded horrible. They were way too short and added more of a drawl to it by tacking "haw" instead of "haa" on the end. The yell used in the trailer sounded more along the lines of what Tom Wopat and John Schneider did in the series. Anyway, just my two cents. These are the little things I notice that probably nobody else cares about LOL
  4. Hello, my fellow Hazzardites! I'd like to pose a question to you guys regarding a few Dukes cast members. For the longest time, I've been trying to find out how tall Ben Jones, Rick Hurst and Christopher Mayer are. I've scoured the web to find the answers, but have come up empty, or at least inconclusive. The Internet Movie Database can sometimes be a good source, but when it comes to celebrities' heights, they tend to grossly exaggerate (case in point, there is NO WAY Mr. T is 6' 1"...he barely had an inch on Sly Stallone, who's around 5' 9 1/2", in Rocky III). Anyway, the IMDB has Ben Jones listed at 6' 3"...the same height as John Schneider?? I'm not sure that's right. Ben is a tall man, no doubt. I've met him several times in person. I don't know if he's THAT tall, though. I tried freeze framing shots of him with other members of the Dukes cast for comparison. Depending on the camera placement, he can sometimes look ALMOST as tall as John, but more often than not he's more on par with Tom Wopat, Jimmie Best, or Denver Pyle. Tom has stated himself that he is 6' even. This is most likely his height standing in sneakers or shoes without thick heels, as most people don't give their barefoot heights. Let's assume that's true. Considering the Duke boys were almost always wearing cowboy boots, add another inch to that. That would put Tom's "Dukes height" at 6' 1", even with Jimmie and Denver, who were also 6' 1" according to many sources or interviews in which they stated so themselves. In most scenes with Jimmie, Ben appears to be pretty even with him. But sometimes he can look a little taller than Tom (but if you look at the final shot in the Dukes Reunion when the cast take their bows, he looks to be as much as 3 inches taller than Tom...what's going on??), so until I find some disputing evidence, I'm putting Ben at somewhere between 6' 1" and 6' 2". Any thoughts? Now, on to the others in question. John Schneider has stated in several interviews that he is "six three and some change." Since we don't know what that "change" is, let's just say he's 6' 3" in sneakers. In cowboy boots he'd be around 6' 4". I'd say that's accurate, since he always looked to be at least 3 inches taller than Tom on the show. I can't find Rick Hurst's height anywhere on the web, but in scenes with John, he looks to be only about a half inch shorter than him (and remember John was wearing boots), so I'm guessing he could be around 6' 3 1/2"? But in the Reunion, Rick looks to be a little TALLER than John. Also, Rick had a lot of scenes with Sonny Shroyer in the first few episodes of the Coy and Vance era, and Sonny is listed at 6' 2 1/2". Rick always looked to be maybe a half inch taller than Sonny, which would put him at 6' 3", which would dispute my previous guess. The numbers just aren't adding up! It's confusing LOL Lastly, there is also no information for Chris Mayer concerning his height. He looked to be roughly the same height (if not a little taller than) John in their limited scene together in "Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke." What are your guesses, friends? Can anyone help me solve this puzzle? Darn Hollywood and its camera trickery LOL
