Plot Summary

A well-prepared gang of criminals come to town, hoping to rob $10 million from an armored car. First they get the Dukes, Boss, Rosco and Cletus under guard at the Boar's Nest, then they force Boss to make a phony radio announcement ordering everyone to evacuate the town because it's going to be sprayed with chemicals to kill an infestation of Abyssassian fruit flies. With all the stress, Boss can't stop eating.

Trivia

• M. C. Gainey (Peters) played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane in the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie.
• Harry Caesar, who played the grocery store owner Homer Griggs in Bye, Bye Boss, makes an uncredited appearance during Boss' evacuation broadcast.
• The Boar's Nest used to be Boss' whisky warehouse, and it still has the escape tunnel once used by Boss and Jesse to escape from revenuers.
• Kaz Garas (Loggins) returned as Jake in Close Call for Daisy.

Bloopers

• When Rosco asks Thackery if he can take Flash in to the office with him, he's holding her upside down, but after a shot of Thackery, the camera cuts back to Rosco holding her the right way up and facing the other way.
• The scenes where Lukes posts a letter and where Thackery and Loggins meet the armored car were both filmed at night even though they're meant to take place during daylight.
