Plot Summary

Boss is planning to reactivate the Mean Green Machine to rob $1 million of gold coins from a display in a store next to his bank. Before he gets his chance, the Mean Green Machine is stolen by Hatfield, one of the guys who sold it to Boss in the first place. Hatfield has escaped from jail with an accomplice, and also has his eye on the gold coins, but his plans suffer a setback when Vance's dynamite arrows damage the Mean Green Machine and require them to kidnap Cooter to fix it.
Commentary
In a departure from the norm, Jesse gets involved in a fist fight alongside Cooter.
Trivia
- Mitch Carter reprises his role as Hatfield from The New Dukes.
- The Mean Green Machine has received a few modifications since its first appearance, most notably the addition of a powerful magnet.
- The footage of the outhouse blowing up (when Boss shoots it with a bazooka) is recycled from Swamp Molly.
Bloopers
- Obvious stunt double used for Jesse during the fight at Cooter's.
- The Mean Green Machine is shown passing the Post Office, Seth M. Berley's and the Hazzard Picture Palace, but it comes from the direction of the courthouse when it knocks over the hydrant end enters the store with the gold coins.
- The magnet on the Mean Green Machine seems to be very picky about what it attracts. It pulled off Enos' badge, gun and belt bucket, but didn't move the security guards' badges or anything else metallic near the gold coins.
Quotes
- The Balladeer remembers a "famous pithy Hazzard saying":
Waylon: "Don't ever worry about nothing ever turning out wrong, because it usually won't."
