General Lee
The General Lee, an orange 1969 Dodge Charger with a Confederate flag on the roof, was Bo and Luke's car in the show. Due to the high number of jumping stunts, over 300 Generals were used throughout the show's run. Early cars differed slightly in appearance, with details such as chrome rocker covers and crossed flags behind the rear window. By the time filming was moved to California, the car's appearance had been simplified to speed up manufacture and to improve continuity.
Happy Birthday, General Lee shows how Bo and Luke originally found the General in a junkyard, and painted it orange because it was the only color that Cooter had in stock.
The only episode where the General Lee doesn't appear is Mary Kaye's Baby.
