Plot Summary

Boss Hogg refuses to concede any of his illegal operations to the bosses of three neighboring counties, so they decide to get rid of him. The plan is overheard by Coy and Vance, and after saving Boss' life outside his house, they agree to let him hide out at the farm.

Commentary

Lulu seems to get conveniently forgotten about in episodes like this one. Boss' life is in danger, and the bad guys are in Boss' house, but she doesn't even get a mention.

Trivia

Mel Tillis

Bloopers

  • In the introduction of the bosses, the closed captions misspell Boss Hopkins' county as "Hatachapee" instead of "Hatchapee".
  • During Mel Tillis' performance, a fiddle can be heard a couple of times when no one's playing it.

Quotes

  • While trying to figure out why they're being shot at:
Coy: "I can't die. I got a hot date tonight."
