Bo and Luke give Doc Appleby a lift to the orphanage, and find Terry Lee, a young boy who's not said a word to anyone since the recent loss of his parents. After leaving the orphanage, the boys think that they might be able to cheer up Terry Lee with a dog. They end up taking the only dog at the pound, a Flash lookalike who's actually Maxine, a dognapped prize basset hound. Terry Lee loves Maxine, but when Boss hears that there's a reward for the dog, he takes her back to the jail and calls her owners. Meanwhile, the dognappers have stolen Flash, believing her to be the dog that escaped from their van. When they find out that Boss has Maxine, they go to make a swap. With Maxine's real owners on their way from Chickasaw, Bo and Luke go to meet them halfway and try to explain the situation.

Plot Summary

Terry Lee at the orphanage
