Plot Summary

Molly Hargrove's race car

When former NASCAR driver Molly Hargrove spots Daisy racing with Bo and Luke, she offers her a chance to drive her car. Daisy's initially reluctant to leave the farm, but eventually signs a contract. After Molly borrows money from Boss, he hires the Porters to sabotage Molly's car so that he can get her to sign over Daisy's contract. As Daisy prepares for her first race, Bo and Luke discover that Molly was kicked off the circuit for reckless driving.

Trivia

• Andra Akers (Molly Hargrove) was a descendant of William Ellery, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Her grandfather, architect John Russell Pope, designed the Jefferson Memorial.
• Mike Moroff (Sam Porter) returned as Jo Jo in Undercover Dukes, another episode with a NASCAR storyline.
• This episode sees the return of Luke's journalist friend Charlie Cooper, who was last seen in Return of the Ridge Raiders. This time he's working for the Tri States Press, and seems to have lost his "Scoop" nickname. He's also played by a different actor, Randal Patrick.
• In a reference to the opening scene of One Armed Bandits, as Bo and Luke are chasing Boss and Rosco, Waylon says "Y'all with long memories, the first time you ever saw General Lee it was chasing a police car."
