Plot Summary

The 18-wheeled casino

AKA. Yancy Peckinpaugh and Betty-Lou

Bo and Luke take a job driving an 18-wheeler for a couple of days so they can come up with $180 to pay Cooter for repairs to the General Lee. They're told it's to demonstrate shock absorbers, but the 18-wheeler turns out to be a rolling casino headed by Helen Hogan, who previously pulled scams in Hazzard County (without Boss' permission). When a friend of the Duke family is bilked out of $1200 in the rigged games of the casino, the Dukes come up with a plan to win back the money and shut down the casino. Boss wants to shut down the casino too...but only to take the equipment and start his own.

Trivia

• The hands performing Uncle Jesse's card tricks actually belong to John Schneider.
• The bridge where the Dukes drop off Dewey Stovall at the end of the episode was previously seen during the race in Luke's Love Story.
• Jo Ann Pflug (Helen Hogan) appeared in the first season of The Fall Guy as Samantha 'Big Jack' Jack, the lady who gave Colt his bail bond assignments. One of her earliest roles was in the 1970 movie M*A*S*H.

Bloopers

• The 18-wheeler has the same license plate as Swamp Molly's pickup: RD 2450.
• When Rosco sneaks inside the 18-wheeler, he pulls the back door shut with a chain, but when Luke follows him in a couple of minutes later, he has to open the latch to gain access, even though no one closed it.
