Plot Summary

While driving through Hazzard, Cooter's friend, Jonas Jones, has his truckload of auto parts hijacked. Due to a previous conviction for armed robbery, Jonas thinks he'll become a suspect if he reports the theft, so Cooter helps him to leave town and then confesses to committing the crime himself. When the Dukes find out, they set about catching the real hijackers to clear Cooter and Jonas.

• The address of Boss' auto parts store is shown as "P.O. Box 9140, Hazzard County, GA 00965". The ZIP Code 00965 relates to an area in Puerto Rico.
• George McDaniel (John Harris) previously appeared as Clooney in Coy Meets Girl.
• Susan Walden (Ruth) was also Suzy Holmes, the eponymous character in The Runaway.

Bloopers

Parked truck visible on the right

• While the hijackers are preparing for their first ambush (as the credits are still coming up), the truck driven by Cooter's friend, Jonas Jones, is supposed to be a short distance away (out of sight) and traveling towards them, but it's clearly visible parked up at the right of the picture.
• Just after Rosco crashes into the milk stand, the text on the General's license plate is red (as in earlier seasons), but it's black for the rest of the episode.

Quotes

• When Boss asks Rosco to follow the Dukes:
  Rosco: "I can handle surveillance. I was good in surveillance when I was in the police academy. That was my best subject, next to recess."
