Plot Summary

Boss is trying to buy up land to create New Hazzard, "The community of the future", with business partner L. S. Pritchard. He adds the Duke Farm to his acquisitions when a mystery helicopter runs the General off the road, preventing the Dukes from making their mortgage payment on time. Back at the farm, Jesse and Daisy start packing for their move to Hatchapee, while Bo and Luke try to track down the owner of the helicopter and find out a little more about L. S. Pritchard. What they discover is that L. S. Pritchard wants to turn Hazzard into a strip mine.

Trivia

• Joseph Burke (Hudson) previously appeared on the other side of the law as Sheriff Ragsdale in Double Sting.
• Grant Owens (Whitney) also makes his second appearance. The first was as Dixon in Good Neighbors, Duke.

Bloopers

Missing license plate

• When Bo drives into the field that L. S. Pritchard's men had been dynamiting, the General's license plate is missing, but it reappears just after he finds the drill bit.
• The skids on the studio mockup helicopter have larger black areas than the real ones.
