			Former Hazzardite Mary Lou Tompkins married the son of a wealthy cotton mill owner and had a baby with him, even though his father didn't consent to the relationship. When Mary Lou's husband died, his father, Emerson P. Craig, tried to get custody of his grandson by claiming that her country roots made her an unfit mother, so she fled to Hazzard with the baby. After temporarily losing her pursuers, Mary Lou leaves her baby in the General while the Dukes were having a picnic. Craig offers Boss $25,000 to find the baby, but he's so rude about the "country bumpkins" in Hazzard that Boss sides with the Dukes. As Daisy hides out with the baby, Bo and Luke go off to collect Judge Druten to overturn Craig's court order. Meanwhile, in a money-saving move, Rosco and Enos have had their patrol cars replaced with horses.
