floyd012010 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I purchased a martin warthog bow a year or so ago. I have been told its in very good condition but was missing some stuff. I picked up the 8 arrow quiver but I had to purchase another old bow to get it but it is the correct one at least. A friend of mine brought me s martin deerslayer sight and I put a new arrow rest on it too. Was wondering if anyone knows exactly what sight was used on the one in the show? I got the 3 pin deerslayer sight on it now and it looks good but I don't think that was the one. Definitely a cool old school wood bow. Just trying to get as close as I can to the one on the show. RogerDuke Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I wish I could help you. It's so awesome you are replicating it. I have an Excalibur Axiom crossbow but have only shot it twice. Looks nothing like anything on Dukes. It's good to hear from you again. Skipper Duke and Hobie Hartkins 1 1 Quote
HossC Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Hands up, I know nothing about archery, but I found a discussion about the Dukes of Hazzard bows at www.archerytalk.com. They said, "The original Warthog had a deerslyer [sic] 300 sight on it." RogerDuke, floyd012010 and Skipper Duke 2 1 Quote
RogerDuke Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I am always amazed at you Hoss. There is nothing you can't do on a computer.... except jump a creek with the sheriff chasing you. Skipper Duke 1 Quote

Just picked up a 4 pin sight from ebay and it looks good but im not sure exactly if that one is it either. They made several different deerslayer sights depending on the year I think. I just picked up another bow from ebay with a different deerslayer sight from the two I have. At least I will have a few to choose from Skipper Duke and RogerDuke 2 Quote
Road Pirate Posted Wednesday at 10:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:57 PM (edited) There was a blue Martin Cougar a few days ago on eBay. It looked like metal flake blue minus the flakes, had a case, and came with five bows. If I were a little better off if I wouldn't of hesitated to get it. Unfortunately it seems to be gone. I can shoot but money these days lol Edited Wednesday at 10:58 PM by Road Pirate Almost said "If I were better" and that would sound like I can't shoot a bow RogerDuke 1 Quote
RogerDuke Posted Thursday at 03:24 AM Posted Thursday at 03:24 AM I don't know much about bows so I don't know if this is right or not. I've heard older bows can be dangerous because they are more susceptible to breaking when you pull them back. Road Pirate 1 Quote
Road Pirate Posted Thursday at 08:35 AM Posted Thursday at 08:35 AM Yeah this is a true. You especially always wanna test your arrow's spine before firing them Skipper Duke 1 Quote
